This is an absolute, total, complete, maybe-you're-wasting-your-time vanity!
But if you've not read it, I would ABSOLUTELY, 100%, suggest that you find, borrow, buy or steal "A Boy's Life", by Robert McCammon.
I really can't explain it. You'd just have to read it.
And if you do and you enjoy it, I'd love to get a FreepMail from you about your experience.
I've gotten my wife, two kids, dad and mom...all of them to read it...
And really...it's an terrific trip.

I have read this and remember one “scene” about the boy bike riding (I think he was with friends) and something magical happened. Am I on the right track?
Weird. I know I read it, and thought is was good. But for the life of me I can’t remember anything about it, even after reading a plot summary.
That is totally it! This is a magical book, all around!
Worth re-visiting, if you haven’t read it in a while...
It’s an amazing book.
If your were ever a boy...if you ever had an imagination...this book will take you back:
Ol’ Moses; The Lady; Rebel, the dog; “Body Snatchers”; parents just don’t listen to their kids; bikes; baseball; school; fascist teachers...
All of it!
How about a 5 Star rating (average) from Amazon...with 302 reviews?!?
Enough to give it a look?
Look into this one sometime, from 1805.

McCammon’s one of my absolutely favorite authors. I have read every one of his books, including “Boy’s Life”. Loved them all.
Just ordered one for me and my 22-year-old son...
and my dad.
Thanks,
C
That is a lot of copies, but it is a really easy book to keep passing around.
I read it when for the first time when it was published and have loaned or had many friends read it. All of them said it was one of the most amazing books they had ever read.
I completely agree. It isn’t my kind of book but I read it because I was at loose ends. I can’t even explain why I was so captivated. It is a terrific experience.
I just ordererd President Bush’s book and I’m reading Blind Man’s Bluff again, so maybe this will be next on my list.
He was a wise, wise man.
