Posted on 11/10/2010 8:57:06 PM PST by SWAMPSNIPER
My grandson just woke me up loading the pumpgun, the sheriff's dept has road blocks up and bloodhounds working the area. I don't have a trunking scanner so we're just sitting here loaded for bear.
yep, gud enter-tainment must be hard to find round about them parts.
Stay Safe! Fire if necessary!
Be safe swampsniper, let us know when it’s all clear and what happened.
Ask questions later.
Be sure to get plenty of good pics, and post the best ones here after it’s all over. ;)
Do the local police have a streaming scanner feed, or post community alerts of any kind on their web site?
Make sure everyone is accounted for
No friendly-fire accidents!
This isn't a good area to mess around, there is a shotgun behind every door.
Could it be that someone stole the last batch of fresh donuts from the local Krispy Kreme shop?
After all, for cops to be out late at night, with dogs, something valuable to them must be missing.
Did you say: “we’re loaded with BEER?!”
I’m comin over right now!
This is rough territory, hard to cross at night. Keeping up with dogs would be almost impossible in some areas. My back 3 acres is rough to get through in daylight.
I’m right here in your neighborhood, what’s going on?
I qualify on a “need to know” basis...
I haven’t been able to find out more. I’m out 208, Cabbage Hammock Rd. Gerry and Christa saw the SJCSO units on 208 as they were coming in.
Keep safe, SS.
We stay ready 24/7 out here, don't make a fuss about it, just part of life.
A prison escapee? A rogue gator?
Hell! I live in southwest Washington. The worst we get out here is a rapid raccoon or squirrel!
They built a planned community near here and some of those people will dial 911 if a gator passes gas.
We get city folks from NJ that panic when they see a bear.
I’m a country girl and I panic if I see a bear closer than a 1/4 mile, too!
My girlfriend, who can shoot and who carries, was berry-picking on their property and one came by real close. She will not go up there again alone, preferably with her husband who carries something large enough to maybe affect the critter.
