Portia DeGeneres could be the first celebrity to dance with a same-sex partner on "Dancing With the Stars."
The hit competition series is "planning to feature a same-sex couple. You're at the top of the list,"Ryan Seacrest told Portia (who changed her last name from de Rossi to DeGeneres) on his radio show yesterday.
The proclamation seemed to surprise DeGeneres, who is married to talk show host Ellen DeGeneres. "Goodness, you really do break news," she said.
Rather than flat out pooh-pooh the notion, DeGeneres said, "I'm not gonna pass, let me think about it. I used to be a ballet dancer. It's not completely a pass. You never know."
While ABC does not comment on casting rumors, the network is said to be keeping an eye on how the same-sex couple fares on Israel's "Dancing With the Stars," before deciding whether to go ahead with its own same-sex pairing here in the US.
Last week, Gili Shem Tov, an openly gay TV sportscaster, and Dorit Milman, a heterosexual professional dancer, became the first same-sex dance duo to ever appear on any of the 30 adaptations of the series airing around the world.

Not investment advice but woul dit be time to short ABC with a move like that? Good Grief, this may turn off half the nation and half the viewers might turn it off and this would tangentially nix the show.. How can they not make that ciritical thinking leap?
The American people will draw the line here. I suspect DWTS will rue the day they made this decision...

I have stopped watching several shows because of the Homogenda being showcased. Surely, I am not alone. Apparently, hollyweird doesn’t care. They want to show their superior tolerance. I think they are showing they are jerks.
Oh how PC and tolerant. Is there a better way to jump a shark than shoving your politics down America’s throat?

it has already been done with the israeli version of dances with the stars (I beleive) at least it was reported on sombody’s version of dances with the stars on european news.

Well I sure won’t be watching it. I watched it this year for the first time with Palin’s daughter and Kurt Warner on it.
I won’t be watching it again if this is where they are going.

Israel is supposed to be a country where religion is a daily part of life. The article tells us that they have their first same sex dancing couple in their version of the show.
Did it affect the ratings there?
OT, but I can’t believe Cover Girl is using EdeG in their ads. How many women want to look like an over-fifty butch lesbian? I’m sure Cover Girl ran focus groups. Maybe there’s a lot of women who embrace the PC. Maybe there’s a lot of women who say, dang she’s got nice skin for an over-fifty butch lesbian. I’ll get me some of that foundation.*
No matter the positives, the negatives have got to be high, and how many advertisers want to court negatives? It’s suicide, in this case by Kool-aid.

ABC got fantastic ratings this year for DWTS, mostly because of Bristol Palin.
Maybe that made them think that stirring a little politics in will help ratings.
My prediction: if they do this, they will get high ratings for the first show because of the curiosity factor and then sink to the ocean floor.
They know the idiots sheep will continue to watch TV. ALL TV is garbage. It supports the One.

I don’t think this is the kind of politics that my 80 year old parents, who watch the show often, will tune in for.
They will lose an incredible amount of viewers.
I have to tell you, a lot of America thinks this is all really cool. They may not really, but if they don’t they are afraid to say so.

And the irony of this is that when Ellen DeGeneres came out of the closet on her sitcom, like it was a surprise to anyone, it quickly went downhill and was eventually cancelled. The Ellen show became only about her being gay and less about being funny.
Now that they’ve milked Bristol Palin for all she’s worth then need a new act to keep people watching.
They could do the famous suction cup dance.

This is obviously a trial balloon.
DWTS is notorious for stunt casting. However, even from a technical point of view, I can’t see how this would work.
Who would lead? Would they have one partner wear male costuming and the other wear female (especially on the ballroom dances which are judged on traditional elements?) And, as someone has mentioned, with two females, aren’t they at a disadvantage with the lifts?
Maybe they’ll do it, but I just don’t see it.
My cat was killed by a stray dog this weekend. I'm certain it was caused by watching too much TV.
And then this morning my coffee maker failed to start my coffee on time. I knew I should have never put that TV in the kitchen where the coffee maker could see it.
Now I'm afrid to go into my kitchen anymore. Who knows what evils my TV watching appliances are going to unleash on my next!?

Well, based on what I’ve observed in almost fifty-five years of living, the rules will be “adjusted” to accommodate the gay agenda.
