Have you really looked at what our taxes go to? I found most of the things we are being taxed on are things that don't really have an association directly to the normal citizen. They need to do 2 things maintain roads and security. As far as this foreclosure issue and tie it up with these stimulus deals and corporate assistance money you'd wonder why it won't work. Well I tell you why things like this won't work. We are still in debt up past our foreheads. The stimulus made more debit for us.

You are probably wondering, What this deals with religion? Everything! If you are in charge of a group of people and you are not doing right your people will stray to doing wrong things. As beings and stewards of this Earth, placed here by what higher power you choose to believe in. Most of the time religion keeps to the back burner due to our desires. See, I got this theory. God didn't just make us in his or her image in body but also in spirit and as a collective. One person cannot move a mountain but get enough of us together we can move a group of mountains, changing the face of the Earth.

I was thinking along the same lines today, too. We need to be able to allocate where our money goes when we pay taxes. That way we really speak and they have to listen.

It can be done with a simple direct deposit into the account of the department we want to fund. As simple as donating to Free Republic! (I noticed the link.)

This is especially important in regards to funding abortion, or other programs (even funding schools that do not allow prayer, teach evolution or promote child sex) that are absolutely against our religion.

If there are programs that need our support, a simple graph with the goal needed can be shown. If a program is not wanted we should be able to click on the thumbs down icon like we see on other websites.

Government has a simple defined job and it is not to run my or anyone else s life, it is to...

“Form a more Perfect Union, Establish Justice, Common Defense, Secure Liberty, General Welfare and Domestic Tranquility”

And our Founding Fathers placed these duties “IN ORDER” just as the Amendments are “IN ORDER” (1st Amendment Freedom of Speech, 2nd Amendment Freedom to bear arms (which is how you insure Freedom of Speech))

We also “Hold these Truths to be Self Evident”

Welcome to FR

I am the Vice President of an insurance agency. Unlike other insurance agencies we actually want lower premiums. We rather sell more lower priced policies then a couple of large ones.

Actually it does deal with religion. Predominately, we in the United States are Christian or some variant. The way I see it, though my beliefs and views may be against the grain of most people. I view us as stewards of Gods creation and as such we are responsible for this planet and the creations that dwell upon it. When you profess in a faith you must live with in that faith. When you stray from that path, everyone gets affected no matter how minuscule it seems. Let’s look at the mortgage crisis. The lure of “EASY MONEY” from home ownership has made a major impact on the economy. How you ask? Look at what a mortgage is, other peoples money that you have to payback with interest. The money spent on a mortgage is not being spent into the community. Pretty soon, like we have witnessed, we run into a recession. Why the money goes to the mortgage holder and not to the peoples goods and services available. Now if we went by owner financing the owner gets the money, that money goes to the citizens for payment for goods and services and there would be no late fees or interest rates. When you have a mortgage, that money goes to a financial institution and not out to the people with out some sort of penalty involved. Out of every mortgage made at least 3 to 7 jobs are lost.

Why can’t we have it that way? You go to a store or shop you pay for what you want and what you don’t want, you don’t pay.
Seems relatively simple to me. If there is not enough money for it it doesn’t happen.

As much as it sounds like a scam, I do have this project where people put into a fund, as low as $1.00 a week and what we do is pay off peoples mortgage. Get enough people into it, the faster it will be to create jobs. The prime logic of it is if we are in trouble because of being in debt then why not cut the debt like we cut cancer. The money not being paid to a mortgage is spent out to the workforce to put bread on the tables of the American Families. Which does what? Create jobs. The money goes out to the many and not the few and it will lessen the burden on the government. How? Less crime rate so Law Enforcement does not have to worry about desperate people doing desperate things to try to keep their house. Also we may also start a tread of owner financing rather get in debt up past our eyeballs.

But you'll take more, right? I mean, if a dollar a week brings modest riches, then surely $100 or $1000 a week will bring great riches.
