I actually didn’t mind the Irish Rovers first version of it (the one I linked was a remake). I have the audio of first version and may upload to youtube. What is annoying to
some about the Elmo and Patsy version, his voice or song itself, or both?
To: trisham
And it’s still not nearly as annoying as the dog barking “Jingle Bells.”

I have a problem with this song because it isn’t, and never was, funny.
To: raccoonradio
It’s annoying but nowhere near those infernal dogs barking Jingle Bells, and I’m a dog lover.

Scott Shannon, on PLJ in NYC, hates to play it, but he had a big hand in making it go viral back in 83 or 84 when he had the Morning Zoo on Z-100.

Try going to JibJab and get yourself a “jingle fart” e-card to send to family and friends.

The worst song ever written was “Puberty Love” from
“Attack of the Killer Tomatoes.” It was so bad that even the sheet music of the song would destroy the killer tomatoes.
It was sung by the then teenage Matt Cameron, drummer for Soundgarden. Since 1998 he's been the drummer for Pearl Jam.

The worst song ever written is “Fishheads, Fisheads!!”. Nothing even comes close to as bad as this.
