So what? I didn’t speak at my dad’s funeral.
To: ColdOne
Are they legally divorced or just separated?

Probably for the best. He did channel a fetus in a court room once. There’s no telling what he’d do.

I think that would be rather odd. I don’t plan on attending my ex wife (or wives if things keep going as they are) funeral.

sounds approrpriate. Most funerals I got to don’t have surving spouses speaking.

I would assume the reason(s) you didn't speak at your father's funeral were far different than the reasons he didn't speak at her funeral. I can't believe the snake even showed up....words fail me when it comes to this guy.

I would have been shocked if he did speak.

I’m surprised that her daughter is speaking. I would be too upset to be able to make a speech under those circumstances.

I would be too upset to be able to make a speech under those circumstances.Sometimes you have to postpone your grieving for awhile, especially when there's a lot going on and a lot of other people are depending on you. Also, a cancer death is different than a sudden death--with cancer you've been grieving for months or years already, and a large part of your grieving is done in advance of the death. I organized a funeral and spoke at length about both of my parents. I got a laugh out of the mourners, too, with one happy story about my charming, high-spirited mother's antics.

Probably the decent thing to do. Hopefully he doesn’t show up with slut and baby in tow.

He shouldn’t say a word-—a tear might be shed but thats it. Then he should marry his bimbo and be a father to his little girl—They deserve each other. They should do a whole heap of charity work—in Haiti or the Islands off the Coast of the Carolinas or an Indian Reservation. He should be seen really saving lives not just photo-opts. Then, in a few years, run for the mayor of a dysfunctional city in his home state, clean it up and get jobs for people—then run for national office. This might take ten to fifteen years—if it would work at all. Americans are a forgiving people—BUT change must be real not cosmetic.

The first thought I had when the news came out that Mrs. Edwards had suspended chemotherapy was that if my husband had mistreated me the way she was mistreated. . . if I had less than 2 months to live, then my husband would have *much* less than 2 months to live. But then, of course, I realized I shouldn’t think such things.
