Cupcakes, once a delightful source of sugary indulgence, later a cliched trend much derided on blogs like this one, have sunk to a new low: racial controversy. A video for Duncan Hines' Amazing Glazes has angered viewers for its depiction of, uh, cupcakes in black face. Racist cupcakes? Facing criticism, Duncan Hines pulled the video from YouTube. But we managed to get a copy of the video, below. Judge for yourself:

The commercial was cute. I just saw singing cupcakes. It’s not like it is a package of Uncle Ben’s rice or Aunt Jemima pancake mix. Just a thought.
I don't think more than ten people across the nation were offended. The problem was all ten of them write blogs.
And if the icing had been all white, they would have also complained that the cupcakes were racist ..

That's what I was thinking. The woman on the phone making the cupcakes seemed unconcerned. One cupcake was "out of tune" due to lack of icing, so she douses it. Me, I'd be running from the room, calling a priest, or contacting Ghostbusters.
When did SO many blacks turn into SUCH paranoid little CRYBABIES? Weak, pathetic people, these racist-screamers. I laugh at and pity them. How embarrassing to be such fragile, constantly “offended” individuals. And I suppose calling out these phony “offended” wimps is “racist.”. Yawn-n-laugh.
