Not that I would watch the show 60 minutes but....Geez they have a segment with Boehner tonight and he's CRYING AGAIN! What's with this guy! I was hoping we would get a Speaker that was a FIGHTER. Is it too late to take a recount? I would take Bauchman in a second......
Winston Churchill cried quite a bit. Just a sign of emotion. Hey, at least he has emotions other than anger and envy (e.g., Clinton/Obama/Carter, etc).
Fighters can cry too.
I’ll judge him on his actions rather than his tears.
Stahl probably asked him if he thought she was a looker. That would make me cry like a baby too.
I saw a preview of him crying, Jake, and I frankly don’t know whether to smack him or hug him.
First, Boehner (pronounced BONER by my husband, on purpose, I dunno) is quite a handsome fellow. He has smoldering good looks, piercing blue eyes and yeah, I’d do him. Doubt that he’d “do” me but moving on....
So it’s nice that a real man wouldn’t be afraid of tears. BUT THERE’S POINT WHERE TOO MUCH IS TOO MUCH, YA THINK?
But I dunno, maybe they’re talking about something extraordinarily sad. I’ll give him the benefit of the doubt but I’m starting to think there might be a girly man hidden under those astonishing eyeballs.
Crying does not project the image of a leader into my mind. Just saying.
That’s true...I bet it’s physically impossible for Botox Pelosi to cry. LOL... I’ll give him the benefit for the doubt and see what happens in January...
Saw that preview .. glad he’s not like the ‘ice
cube,’ but not thrilling that flaming lib Lesley
Stahl is comforting him. Will not be reported
He's the biggest mountebank in the House. I can't stand to even look at him.
Holy smokes! You’d sleep with someone based solely on how he looks? What are you a schoolteacher?
Unless someone died...there’s no reason to cry in politics. Don’t like it, don’t like it.
I’m tired of the tears. I’m done, finished.... saturation level overload. I don’t care about emotion. I care about results, and the republicans better come through.
Tears are not the opposite of laughter. Tears and laughter are signs of emotion. The opposite of emotions is nothingness.
Thank God Boehner is an emotional/feeling person. It is what divides us from the animals.
I saw that clip too; methinks Boehner’s “crocodile tears” will be his trademark!
(CBS Twitter...Boehner 60 Min appearance tonight)
# Boehner says tax cut deal will be worth the $900billion cost: I think its worth it. I think it will create jobs. And help our economy. 27 minutes ago via web
# What does John Boehner think of Pres Obama? I think hes engaging. Certainly smart. Brilliant. From 60 MINUTES interview tonight.
LOL. He rather reminds me of a throwback to the Dean Martin age -— maybe it’s the Ohio connection, the golf sweaters and the rugged good looks.
If he’s crying she likely asked him about his early family life, his humble beginnings, and did he ever dream or imagine that he would one day become SOTH.
The RINO’s won. The TEA Party was co-opted. Do not expect much sanity from the GOP this next year.
Not that being born above a tavern means anything.
Just whenever I see Boehner cry, he sounds like a drunk.
I’m sure its a personal thing and not related to politics.
Glenn Beck cries a lot...I wouldn’t trade him for the world!
we saw that too...Boehner and Beck, the weepy warriors of the counter-revolution.
Hey, at least they are in earnest, not like old lip biter Clinton
I like Beck too...However would you want the guy in your corner if you were in a fight with the Dems? They sure aren’t going to flinch....A crying Speaker will only encourage them to impead any Republican Progress
But seriously, I saw the ad. I think his crying is disturbing and disgusting. But I'm not going to reject the man altogether. I'm just sick and tired of living in a nation of wimps.
The folks at 60 Minutes just love, I’m sure, showing the ad for tonight’s show. I saw it too and was appalled.
Men and tears- now there’s a topic!
It can be endearing- depending on the occasion. It should, however, be rare and heartfelt.
Gay men get a pass.
Sometimes a man can be either dead inside or prone to rage- (yes, so can some women- not a sexist comment) a few tears would be beneficial for them.
John Boehner is quite attractive in a 1970’s kind of way (don’t ask me what that means- I can’t explain it!) so I’ll just have to wait and see what the tears were about.
Thinking of GWB when he wept sometimes (and his dad, at the drop of a hat) vs. The One- whom I’ve never seen shed a tear...I’d pick a Bush type guy over The One any day.
“What are you a schoolteacher?”
Schoolteachders always make you show your work.
That is not true. What did you do to assist? Did you become a PC in your district? We are working so hard at the precinct level to put more conservatives onboard. It’s going to take longer than one election. Talk like that is just counterproductive.
I like Beck too...However would you want the guy in your corner if you were in a fight with the Dems? They sure arent going to flinch....A crying Speaker will only encourage them to impead any Republican Progress
Beck is righteous man. I believe Boehner is also a righteous man (based on his past). 10 times out of ten I would rather have them on my side than the likes of Obama, Rahm, Axlerod, etc... Beck is more than rhetoric, he is substance. In my book that wins every time. In so far as Republican Progress is concerned, I would much rather see absolutely nothing done than the continuation of what has been happenning. I think we need to regress first.
The average age of a Sixty Minutes viewer is deceased.
I know ...and I adore and treasure men with
tender hearts, as I did with Pres. Bush.
It appears quite boo hoo in the clip, but
we’ll see the context of the whole thing.
It may be another mention about his tough
childhood and where he is today, and it’s
certainly moving ..but whatever .. you know
how it’ll be reported by the lamestreams.
HAHAHA Good One! Might be a good tag line :)
Bears fans wish the ad lasted 60 minutes.
No no...an ad for the TV show 60 minutes. Sorry for the misunderstanding....I couldn’t take a 60 minute commercial! We’ll ok maybe if it was one with pretty girls in skimpy outfits of was really funny...LOL (Like the Shake Weight commercial) I thought it was a parody when someone told me about it!!
Shake Weight Commercial (Warning..VERY SUGGESTIVE)
Thank goodness T.V. football is really what it is, and no P.R. stunts.
Guess 60 accidently forgot to feature the PuppetSpammer-Clinton “press conference.”
Boehner is the ONLY guy in the leadership that I like and mostly trust. I don’t really care if he cries more than Beck.
Que the Roy Orbison
Fore! Boehner waiting to play 18 holes with Obama
I hope he’s a better golfer than Obammy. at least they can share a cig after a round..
Rep. Boehner, a famously emotional man, cried several times during interviews, on topics such as his family and his principles.
BOEHNER: We have to govern. That’s what we were elected to do.
STAHL: But governing means compromising.
BOEHNER: It means working together.
STAHL: It also means compromising.
BOEHNER: It means finding common ground.
STAHL: Okay, is that compromising?
BOEHNER: I made it clear— I am not going to compromise on my principles, nor am I going to compromise
STAHL: What are you saying?
BOEHNER: —the will of the American people.
STAHL: You’re saying, “I want common ground, but I’m not going to compromise.” I don’t understand that. I really don’t.
BOEHNER: When you say the word “compromise— “
BOEHNER: a lot of Americans look up and go, “Oh, oh, they’re going to sell me out.” And so finding common ground— I think (NOISE) makes more sense.
Feeeeeeelings, whoa whoa whoa feeeeeeelings...
Bohner has that retro look down pat but he should lay off the tanning booths and orange tan oil.
LOL. You mean you don’t think his ‘tan’ comes from his rounds of golf?
You know what makes me said?
Maybe we should just chug on over to Namby-Pamby land, where maybe we could find some self confidence for you, you Jack Wagon.
LOL. You mean you dont think his tan comes from his rounds of golf?>>>>>>>>
That is or was his orange man-tan oil. Whatever it was his handlers have taken it from him and he looks more normal now. The only vice he has left is puffing away on his Barclays ciggies in his inner sanctum House office with the smoke eater turned up full blast.
“Specially designed for women.”
I vote Aye!
I see CBS gave up and went to the Miami-NY game. In related news, God seems to want Favre’s streak to continue....
