The 'tolerance' of the left never ceases to amaze me. For the people who want: an Islamic Mosque at the place where Islamic fanatics murdered 2752 mostly Americans; Homosexuals to marry and also insert (sorry) their tawdry behavior into the minds of American children in the public schools and so much more, they are the most intolerant when it come to freedom of speech for any who disagree with them.
In the last week I had 2 "friends", unfriend me on Facebook. The first, a friend of 30 years, because I posted information about the TSA's groping of nuns and molesting children in the name of anti-terror. The second, a friend of 40 years, because I 'liked' SarahPalinUSA.
The following is the conversation I had with her.
Me:
They said the same thing about my favorite president of all time, Ronald Reagan in 1978. For such a 'stupid' person she's positioned herself brilliantly to get the GOP nomination and likely the presidency.
Her:
I sure hope she does run because then we are assured of 4 more years of Obama. She is the most pathetic excuse for a politican I have ever seen. Even my strongly Republican friends hate her and won't vote for her. That's just what we need - some bimbo that walks off the job as president too because she's had an affair with some congressman. She will never be president and I sure hope not in my lifetime. The guys that pick up my garbage are more qualified than her and that is why I was so shocked to see anyone say they liked her. You make two people I have ever heard say they like her. She's an idiot than needs to stay home and bring up her children properly or stay on her riduculous reality show which is as big of joke as she is.
Me:
Gosh. Don't hold back. Say what you really feel. ; v)
Her:
I thought that was what I did.
Me:
Perhaps you did at that .... Merry Christmas!
I thought that would be the end of it but after a while I noticed she had unfriended me. So the conversation continued:
Me:
Sharon? Wow! Did you just unfriend me because I chose to like Sarah Palin's Facebook page?
Her:
absolutely - you can't even start to imagine how much I can't stand that puke. I doubt I would have anything in common with someone that likes her. I really mean it and there are tons more people like me that do NOT want our nation put in that idiots hands. We had enough problems with what Bush did to us, we do NOT want to risk this country to her.
Her:
Keeping you on my friend's list would mean I may have to see Palin's name again and it about makes me puke. I don't think you have any idea of the repulsion effect she gives me. So if I remove you, I don't have the chance of seeing her especially since you posted your like more than once. I remove anyone that likes her so don't consider it a personal thing.
ME:
OK. The "tolerance" for view points different from your own is overwhelming! Good luck with that. All the best to you personally.

What exactly are your (ex)friends reasons for Sarah Palin being ‘’stupid’’? Can she articulate them?

The absolute searing hatred people have for Palin is unfathomable to me. My personal experience is that the people who really hate her like this are usually women. I wonder why that is?
There are many people like that in our lives and on our Facebook. I just prefer not to engage in that kind of arguement. While I think she’s not the best person to run this country, I can’t deal with people that are adults that keep saying “puke”.

There are millions of similar ancedotes around the country. Family and friends completely and irrevocably rejecting each other over political divisions. This is how civil wars start.
Doesn’t that sort of behavior just blow your mind? I have close family that won’t even talk to me anymore, because I’m a conservative Republican who voted for Bush. Twice.
I can’t imagine their response, if I were to start making positive comments about Sarah Palin to them.
I listened patiently to all of their worship of Barack Obama during the 2008 election, but some of them cut communication with me because I dared to criticize their messiah.

Tolerance is only for the views that liberals value...never for Conservatives or differing points of view.
This person surely could benefit for a few sessions with a trained therapist.. Michael Savage always says, “liberalism is a mental disorder.” May have something there.
Yes, I stand corrected. But the women who dislike her seem to have some kind of irrational reaction that they didn’t even have to Bush. Maybe it’s just my own potential biases, but it really is noticable to me.
I doubt it. If her Facebook activity is any indication she spends about 6 hours a day playing Farmville. But she is CERTAIN Obama is good for America.

It is quite simple and obvious.
Sarah is the strong and competent woman that they can never hope to be.
I believe Todd is a strong man but not THAT strong. What James Carville said about Hillary is also true about Sarah. "If she gave one of her balls to Obama they'd both have two!"

You did yourself a favor dropping those two friends. With friends like that who needs enemies. Liberalism truly is a mental illness. You will make new friends. In fact, I’ll be your buddy, I will PM you my email address and you can add me :-)
Don’t feel too bad. I get unfriended every week because I post conservative stuff on my FB page. The people who want everyone else to be “tolerant” are some of the most intolerant people I know.
