I'm beginning to understand the logic (or lack thereof) of liberals who live in their 'fantasy worlds' who refuse to face reality. When you start realizing how utterly screwed up the world out there is, it would make any sane person want to go someplace and hide...for a long time.

Yes! I feel like that. Mostly because the idiocy of the left seems impossible to overcome. A friend was strolling through a grocery store the other day & discovered a bottle of “Leninade”. It’s just lemonade, but the bottle has the lines ‘get hammered & sickled’ & ‘worth standing in line for’ on it (very funny, huh?). She wrote a letter to the editor of the local fish-wrapper stating that communism was a benighted ideology that resulted in the deaths of one hundred million people & wasn’t a laughing matter. Someone responded on-line to the letter calling it McCarthyism. They refuse to read or understand history & it looks like we’re all condemned to repeat it as a result. Time to go stock up on more ammo.

Depending on the day, I'm torn between going Rip van Winkle and going Rambo.
I imagine many of us are getting closer to the latter.
The “bottom” is a mass grave with the bodies of others those in power deem ‘undesirable.’

You know, there’s a part of me that would like the violence of CWII to come sooner rather than later: the sooner it’s over the sooner we can rebuild. Of course it’ll be the victor that is rebuilding and there is no guarantee that “our side” will be the victor... only God, being also the God of War, can guarantee victory: and even then it might not be clear-cut. The story that comes to mind is one where the tribes went to war against another tribe and were handed defeat after defeat despite God having called them up, but then they went into battle once again and won. After that battle though the tribe the others were against had [virtually] no more men and was whining about being doomed to extinction, but that’s another [though related] story.
Yes I get where you are at right now. This entire week I have not watched the news or listened to talk radio except for 10 minute drive in the morning. I have been watching EWTN while making dinner & reading the Bible in the evenings.
Sometimes, I need a break from the world. THIS is one of those times.
In the trying times of todays world, it’s tough finding a way to have a positive attutude. I know, I too fight for one every day.
I figure that my positive attitude may not solve all of the problems, but it will annoy enough people to make it worth the effort. ;>)

Just when you think everything has hit bottom, the bottom falls out and we hit a new low. Before I get arrested for knocking the crap out of the first liberal I see, I escape to Farmville on Facebook to calm down. Or I talk to my parrots because they make more sense than anything that is going on....then I reload...
