Michael Vick(notes) wants another dog. He told this to NBC News in an interview set to air Wednesday:
"I would love to get another dog in the future. I think it would be a big step for me in the rehabilitation process.
"I think just to have a pet in my household and to show people that I genuinely care, and my love and my passion for animals; I think it would be outstanding. If I ever have the opportunity again I will never take it for granted. I miss having a dog right now. I wish I could. My daughters miss having one, and that's the hardest thing: telling them that we can't have one because of my actions."
Too soon, Michael. Too soon.

Baptist press,, Michael Vick, good read. No matter what he says,, some will act childish about it. But there are plenty of sports stars who get in trouble and never try this hard. It appears it would really dissappoint some people, if he indeed found Christ and was trying to live right.
Using the same logic, it must follow then that all child molesters who've done their time should be allowed to work as baby sitters.

If someone commits domestic violence, are they allowed to remarry? And as much as I love dogs,, comparing his treatment of fighting pit-bulls, to child molestation,,is a stretch.
That’s a leftist thing, recognizing no difference. A rat is a pig, is a dog, is a boy. Child molestation is several orders of magnitude worse than abusing a dog. Thats why it’s different.
I don't think anybody here would equate the two. But it still doesn't diminish the heinous nature of his actions.
I can name something he hasn’t done. He owes various creditors and agents approximately seven million dollars. Where is his money? He gave it to family and friends right before he declared bankruptcy. Every day he goes on his redemption tour is another day which elapses, without Vick doing the right thing. He served his prison time - fine. He hasn’t killed a dog for a couple of years...great. But he is still a deadbeat who has made no attempt to pay his creditors. He obviously has not had that moment, when his morality clicks on, and he has felt true regret. I flat don’t trust him.
He was as big of a low life as there ever was. Again though,, and not sarcastically, can anyone point to any of that behavior since he did his time?
If what you said was true,, it would have EASILY been undone in bankruptcy court. They simply do not accept millionaires giving everything away,, and then walking in to discharge creditors. I doubt it hapened the way you imply.

It absolutely happened just as I described. That is why he currently gets an allowance. A trustee appointed by the court determines what he can spend on his car, house, kid’s private school, and mom’s salary (I have no idea what she does for this salary). It appears that somewhere between the bankruptcy case and now, the court discovered that Vick had perjured himself and squirreled this money away. They would prosecute him for this....but then he can’t play and make any money for his creditors :).

Thanks for the link. Very good read. I’m a big Dungy fan as he was once the Defensive Coordinator of my Vikes. He’s a solid man. Tells it like it is and is a Christian. I want Vick to succeed and change. But it’s hard to believe that someone who states he was a Christian before he did these things could be so cruel to helpless animals and only really change when fate turned on him. He needs to take it up another notch in regards to stopping this practice where he knows it’s happening. Sorry I was childish. lol
