One hour ago I put my best friend a 14 yr old Border Collie down. If she were human she would have been a world class athlete. Lived, for the neighborhood kids to come home and play. I shall drink to her right now.

Oh my. Sorry to hear that. Border Collies are about as large a dog as I can deal with. I think Ben is thinking of a beagle or beagle mix. (We patronize the pound for all our pets.)

She was Madison; Mattie for short. Actually bred on a sheep farm in Siler City, NC by a farmer who breeds them for ranchers. Travis Tritt the county singer took the litter mate.
Friend of mine had a BC - also named Mattie. Honest Injun! What a co inky dink.
