Uhhh...not exactly. In Texas you MUST have a hunting license to hunt anything, including hogs. There are no limits or season on feral hogs. Some counties have limits on javelina, though. Look up your local regulations.
There are an estimated 3.5 million hogs in Texas. A sow can have litters of 6 to 8 piglets twice a year. They become fertile at age 8 months. That is why the population is exploding. I have an estimated 25 to 35 on my lease in north Texas. Taking them out one at a time!

Very much a case of "it's the thought that counts" sort of thing.
Any chance of me tagging along?

Is that picture for real?I’d take the 375 H&H to the field if I thought I’d run into one of those.
Wow, that’s crazy! Merry Christmas to you.
Yeah, they will. But believe it or not...most of the time the dogs get hurt during the chase...by the time they corner the hog...it’s wore out.
I know...right? I’ve been but only as a spectator.
Merry Christmas to you and yours. Been snowing all day here in Austell. Was at my brothers in Douglasville earlier today and saw the biggest flakes I’ve ever seen in my life.
I heard about that! Crazy stuff, wish we were there to see it. We’re in KY at the moment, back Monday. Plenty of snow here, too, it snowed heavily Christmas Eve about 9-11, and again a little today. 3-4”, easy. Roads melted off, though, it’s just on the grass.
