Btw, we all know Craptor is a crap rip-off of Russian’s stone-age MiG-25/Foxbat, the aerodynamic layouts of the two are BASICALLY the same, no wonder you all should thank that famous Russian pilot for letting you copy all your ways to your Craptors

Oh really...Where did you get your Engineering Degree? Walmart?

Please let me know if you want ON or OFF my Viking Kitty/ZOT ping list!. . . don't be shy.

not to worry Obama sent it to them along with a apology or something... Or was that G. W Bush making them a present of out highest encryption and spy capabilities along with a P3 Orion in 2001.

Or was it Clinton and Benard Schwartz sending them missile technology in 1968...

Only one the seem to no make outright presents to the reds is Apple.

But its also highly overrated to travel over Mach 2.0 for today’s fighter with today’s turbine fan engines.

Most of today’s air-combat still takes places at speed range of Mach<1.2.

No one ever mentions what a crapload of globalism that was when Bush let them get away with taking our plane and crew, then sending the plane back in boxes.

The District of criminals built China up with wealth stolen from American citizens.
I will not be suprised when they announce that Alaska, all the BLM land and national parks have been ceded to China to pay for cheap crap we bought at walmart

OK...Tell me how this heat seeking missle target copy of a second rate plastic model made by Hobby boss is better than something that is already in service?

Yeah, but you gotta get to the fight, toady.....and we'll see the heat signature on your French knockoff from orbit before it even gets off the ground......something the Chinese might want to consider before picking a fight......

Yes, I am aware of the advantages, I have had ride in Vari Ee Eons ago and sat in on many Rutan lectures at OSH, but even he has tried other Planforms. The Canards have short comings too. But note both the F22 and F35 didn't go Canard, The Grippen did and the Soviet's have 3 planes with their Carrier Birds, my guess is their is a signature penality.

Now if this thing is a double delta and had no horizontal stab ( if the outline is wrong ) and a canard, now we are talking a different beast.

You fail to factor in the quality of the pilots.

We all know Raptor looks like a MiG-25, which suggesting Belenko must has been the project director & chief designer of your Raptor.

The MiG-25 bears a way-too coincidental similarity to the North American A-5A Vigilante. Make the Vigi fat (to put really big engines in it), eliminate the internal bomb-bay and give it twin tails and you have a MiG-25. Or an F-15, for that matter.

The simple fact is that there are a finite number of design solutions to design challenges. So yes, high-speed aircraft (A-5A, MiG-25, F-15), high maneuverability aircraft (Gripen, Eurofighter Typhoon, Rafale, ChiCom J-10, Lavi, X-31), spacecraft (Shuttle Orbiter, Buran) stealth aircraft and the like are going to look very, very similar.

Like with the Pak-FA T-50 (Russian "Raptorski") it looks like the ChiCom stealth prototype combines elements from the F-22, the YF-23 and the F-35. It may even combine elements from the Pak-FA T-50, because the back-ends look just about identical (and close to the MiG 1.44 as well).

The fighter is expected to conduct maiden flight by the end of this year.

Surely it couldn’t be that Mainland Chinese graduate students
stole plenty of “secure” data during their tenure at American engineering
schools.

Canards on this type design are used to enhance low speed, high angle of attack handling. Above 150 kts they’re just drag.
