What exactly is the temperment of Russian men and what sort of spouses do they make?
They’re pussycats and you should mail-order one as soon as possible.
At their core, all Russians are drama queens. Once you understand this, everything else makes sense.
The ones I’ve known over the years tend to drink alcohol like there’s no tomorrow, and smell like they’re allergic to soap.

I hate to generalize, but the ones I have encountered through business have been rude, obnoxious, know-it-alls who drink too much and don’t seem to relish bathing.
They seem to have a great deal in common with Minnesota ice fishermen, except they don't fish.
A young Russian woman I knew summed them up as “mean drunks.”
Oh, I forgot, many don’t believe in birth control but favor abortion. This also from a Russian female source who had five of them.
Russian men do have a short life expectancy. One I met who was 39 already considered himself old.
I’m sure it depends on the individual.
The only Russian men I have ever gotten to know at more than a very superficial level were drivers/interpreters who worked for the [Christian] church-based international adoption agency which handled the adoption of my son. They were good, honest, hard-working men, and they seemed to be pretty much like any other good, honest, hard-working men.
However, they did drink vodka at virtually every lunch and dinner we ate with them while my wife and I were in Russia, so even THEY seemed to fit the “drink too much” stereo-type. They did not appear to be ‘drunk’ at any time, though, and they were by no means loud or rude after drinking.
I have never had any dealings with the Russian ‘businessman’-type, but I’ve heard the same negative things about them that I am sure you have heard.
Now, THAT’S funny.
The ones that make it over here are not the worst. You should see some of the specimens in their native environment...

It’s dangerous to generalize, but I will offer this: I think they tend to be scammers.
I imagine this comes from living under the communist system, where you had to work around everything.
IMO Russian men are biggest reason many young, beautiful, and educated Russian women seek foreign husbands, especially Brits, Americans, and Canadians.

Whether you Freepers know it or not, the belief in the one, true God is what makes a person trustworthy, loyal, dependable, responsible, loving, selfless, etc. No other worldview can do it—NONE....Marxists know that and they want to master us......they can never do it if we truly believe in God.
That is why their promotion of everything destructive to family and Christianity. They destroy the conduit of culture and they destroy the culture.
Gramsci, Lukacs and Marcuse inserted cultural Marxism into curricula and media to do just that—destroy us from within. God is the only hope. No one with a worldview that is not centered on God can never be trusted. There is no absolute moral code for those people—it can always change with the flow of pop culture.

I completely agree. I view obama as a cultural muslim, but at heart an atheist. The recent Christian references he’s spouting are, IMO, mere platitudes.

If this post has anything to do with Russian men being suitable as husbands for American women... then here is my take...
Having been single for twelve years - of the American women over age 50 that I have encountered - most want to be managing directors of my life... wanting to put me in ‘beck and call’ mode, etc.
So - from what I have heard of Russian men - I doubt that they would fit into such a role any more than I do...
Over the years, I have spoken to or exchanged email with a number of Russian women and find that they do not have a high regard for Russian men... But, I also find that American women have a similar low regard attitude for American men... So - Hmmmmm?

excellent point! ...but one group is an exception. Muslim men. Some think K1 Visas are mostly rich Americans getting arm candy Russia girls, but a large percent is Morrocans and other Muslim men, marrying American women. (And of course, Muslim men are allowed to, but Muslim women are forbidden to marry non-Muslims... as I found out the hard way, right here in NJ.)

Bambi was in a Liberation Theology church for 20 years. Based on James Cone, a Marxist, there is no God in that church, much less a Christian one. Marxist-Christian is an oxymoron.

I agree. The most important question, is not country, but Faith. However, I was in a Russian Orthodox church in Siberia, with men I respected, after watching them.
No pews. Men standing or kneeling on a hard marble floor. Men showing nothing but serious respect and devotion, to God and Jesus. ...I think Europe is much more atheist now, than Russia ever was.
No, there’s this cute doctor and he’s Russian who grew up 200 miles from Poland and I think he’s cute and nice and I want ot know about the temperments. He’s very clean cut, but then, I only know him as a doctor, not a person.

Well then, muslim men always seem to want them. But only if they were blond. They all seem to want “Marilyn Monroe”.
That doctor might be an exception of course, but stereotypes must exist because of widespread perceptions. Some cultures, such as Mexican, are big on machismo - I suspect Russians are too.
Well, I’ll just have to find out won’t I? I’m going ot go out on a limb and suggest that many of the problems that accompany machismo is the result of a failing in other areas of one’s life. Look at some feminists, going on and on about being ‘in charge’ of their life/sexuality (like actresses) mainly from the fact they decide to slut around and refuse to let the shame come out.
But, caution is as caution does.

Yes. I usually exaggerate....it is something that I always do to get a point across. I know there are some Godly people in Russia...the country of Dostoevsky, no less. Just wish that people understood the importance of God for life and hope and happiness. Our Founders did and they were correct. History proves it.
Marxism has done a ton of damage to the Russian people. That ideology should be purged from the earth. It is evil.
