Clinton is one of those judgemental east coast snobs that is entirely wrapped up in a superficial, ego-centric world. He likely eats all of his meals in restaurants and lives in a building with all the amenities where he never has to get his manicured nails dirty.

Palin lives in the real world. The world of roll up your shirt sleeves and gut fish you caught yourself. The world of adapt, innovate, suck it up and keep on walking. She does not look at nature through the lens of a resort window but is a part of it - and it is dirty, visceral and harsh. Her values are in strong relationships, personal integrity and fierce independence. She does not judge someone on whether their shoes are pointy enough to appropriately elongate the line of their leg or make fun of them because they are practical about how they spend their money.

I would much rather have Palin at the helm of our foundering ship of state than Clinton, who is obsessed with image rather than substance.
