Just saw the Congresswoman participating in the reading of the Constitution that was done on the House floor this week. The whacko that shot her professed in his YouTube rantings his disbelief in the Constitution. Could it be that he saw his Congresswoman reading the Constitution? The inevitable snap occurred and his decision was made?
Pretty Ironic that she read the 1st amendment and her supporters are already trying to silence the right.
I think it more likey she was targeted because she voted against pelosi for speaker of the house. I read that he posted that Gifferds was now “dead to me”

I don’t think it had anything to do with politics. Just some crazy trying to get his 15 minutes of fame. Compare it to Columbine or the VA Tech shootings. No reason other than the fact that the perp needed facetime on TV.
The immediate blame being leveled at Palin, Beck, FOX news and others isn’t just for show. Its goal oriented.
I didn’t see anything in the whacko’s writings indicating support for Pelosi. Or support for anyone for that matter.
You don’t kill a congressman unless its political. He had a reason and it was because she wasn’t Marxist enough.

That’s an interesting idea. He did seem to have a lot of hatred towards the Constitution, and perhaps he saw this as a symbolic gesture.
Personally, I think he was just nuts and there may not have been much of a “rational” political motive to this at all. But if he detested the Constitution, he might have thought of Giffords as being symbolic of it, especially if she read the 1st Amendment. He seems to have been quite paranoid, and paranoids often do see inanimate things as “persecuting” them, but of course are unable to attack the thing itself and attack a person as its representative.
Can you please fix the Congresswoman’s name in the title? It should be Gabrielle Giffords. Thank you.
