Nice if you can afford it. Even with techno stuff and fire power, it would stand out like a sore thumb and be a target. I’d want a cave somewhere out in the middle of nowhere.
I agree. .Thats the low tech, inexpensive way. And one that I have followed, but I do recognize a fellow traveller though, even if he is just trying his best with his load of capital.LOL.
It looks like he is inviting the attempt, which is what all such structures can do, if the going gets rough.I wonder if he has his own drilled wells inside the footprint?

Secret passageways abound in this early 20th century castle near the Canadian border. It was originally built for the president of the Singer Sewing Machine Co., Frederick G. Bourne, by renowned architect Ernest Flagg. The five-story, 28-room castle, aptly named Singer Castle, has stone spiral staircases, copper gutters and a castle dungeon. Uniquely situated on one of the St. Lawrence Seaway's Thousand Islands, the property offers two boathouses, a beach and a sizable squash court.
Listed with Rene Palsenbarg at Sotheby's International Realty Canada.
You want to go dutch on it? No,no,wait, I forgot temporarily that you prefer hills far above the element of water.LOL.
I bet the thread castle has a dungeon, but likely with very high tech laser enclosures ( Cross the line and its roast ‘roo on the floor).
Well, it may become a rally point for the local populace if the SHTF. LOL.
” Sort of admirable in its own way “
Indeed it is ;-)
