I just can’t believe there are people who can’t cook.

But then again, my daughter can’t cook so it is possible.

The economy er... is like a vacuum. A week's worth of meat means quite a bit for me. ;)

Lots of people can't cook. It is sad. I found out a neighbor mainly eats spam sandwiches because she hates to cook. I've been cooking for both of us since I found out. I may cook poverty food, but it's better than spam sandwiches. I feel like I'm living the rock soup story.

OH MY GOODNESS, woke this morning, put one foot one the floor, got back under the covers, then put it down again then the second one, got coffee going, slowly but surely, the world is starting to turn. For some feel like I ‘fought a bear’ last night.

I really need to get to WalMart, almost out of coffee, fridge looks like a lost place, nothing but some left over pot of beans...it is sad and I am hungry.

One thing I have to do today, clean my ‘Shack in the back’, I am not the best house keeper on the Miss Gulf Coast. I have tried to get D and GD to come over but ain’t working, I plead my case but no takers....shame, shame, shame...

Nita, I think anyone can cook, if they read. My sis hates cooking, and it shows when she does. Her hubby, loves to cook and is good at it. I don’t understand sis because our parents were both very good cooks so I didn’t learn to cook until I married...the first year was a learning experience, for both of us. Thankfully Roomey doesn’t complain when I’d fix something “awful”, he’d just say “let’s have this in the next century”.

Right now I have chicken legs soaking in buttermilk and will try a new recipe tonight.

Really, LB, I’m quite disorganized. I have projects in the works, they all get finished, but I go from one to the other. Right now, I’m in the process of tearing the wall paper off the downstairs bedroom, it’s amess. At the same time I doing a wall painting in the library/office and..and making plans for our raised gardens. I’m waiting for Walmart to put out their yukon potato seeds yo put them in the tires, plus I’m starting seeds in pots. I’m waiting for a class on stained glass to begin..I’ve interested in learning that process. Being retired is fun. I just play.

I am PUT on a diet with the kids, no meat, nothing but veggies, it is a fast and pray diet, they got that right, fast, I am fast getting hungry but am true to the cause.

Since my husband had the day off, we did some errands together, had lunch out, then returned home for R & R and more tasks,then more errands.
