Gates indicated that we need to work on “...reproductive health services...” when talking about reducing the growth of population. “reproductive health services”, in this context, is code for ABORTION.

"“reproductive health services”, in this context, is code for ABORTION."

I think condoms, birth control, and abstinence programs are a more likely meaning in that context. He didn't say abortion, and I don't think he meant abortion.

Again, he basically concluded you couldn't stop the population growth so you need to change the sources of energy.

DepoProvera, aka the shot for the stupid, is a long acting birth control.

It's also a very effective libido killer, great for marriage!

Danny, we’re not idiots. We know what leftists like Gates mean when they say “reproductive health services.”

It could just as easily mean "birth control" and would fit in the context better. In fact, given his earlier comments on reducing child mortality leading to reduced population growth, it could mean nothing more than reducing infant mortality.

The only reason to assume that he meant abortion is that you hate the guy. I don't like the guy's politics either, but I don't want to see anyone slandered.

Once Again, the context of his speech is that the population growth was inevitable, so you better do something about the source you are using for energy.

Not really. He lists three things to bring down the rate of growth of population growth: vaccines, health care, and "reproductive health services." The first two actually save lives. That only leaves "three."

Right. Reduce CO2 emisions to zero, or near zero.

And abort babies.

Immoral insanity.

Again if you look at the link in post 45. Gates was saying back in 2008 that reducing child mortality led to reduced population growth.

So, are you even aware of Bill Gates’ support for organizations like Planned Parenthood and NARAL?

‘Cause if you’re not simply ignorant I have to question what your motives are in defending this guy.

Insanity to worry about CO2 levels - agreed.

Still think it's slander to read "reproductive health services' as abortion when birth control or reducing infant mortality fits better and he didn't mention abortion.

That said, I looked to see if Gates had talked about abortion. I didn't see any comments but he has funded some organizations that perform abortions. His dad was president of a local Planned Parenthood.

From the link you posted...

"Gates explained his theory that parents will have more children when infant mortality is high, so if you reduce child mortality parents will have fewer children, following the example of the urbanized West where birth rates have dropped to below replacement levels.

“The key thing, the most important fact that people should know and make sure other people know: As you save children under 5, that is the thing that reduces population growth,” he said. “That sounds paradoxical. The fact is that within a decade of improving health outcomes, parents decide to have less children.”

Again, he sounds consistent. Registering everyone is a really bad idea. But I see nothing in his comments that suggest he is trying to do anything sinister.

The eugenicist aims of Bill Gates and his cohort are quite obvious. Those who deny that those are his aims are either extremely naive or they share his population control agenda, and are happy to help him veil it all (very thinly) under silly leftist euphemisms like “reproductive health services.”

Which is it with you?

“Now if we do a really great job on new vaccines, health care and reproductive health services, we could lower that to perhaps 10 or 15 percent!”

The vaccines might not increase deaths, they might decrease life by lowering fertility. Also “reproductive health services” includes birth control and abortion.

If you watch the entire video Gates is not advocating using vaccines to decrease the population.

Gates and Oprah Winfrey among other Billionaire types attended a world population control gathering last year. Gorbachev and The most trusted man in America,"Walter Cronkite," worked on the UN population control stuff for years, after they both retired.

Notice these people are all your betters, get used to it.

If I remember correctly, this idea was that third-world families wouldn't need to have a dozen kids to count on two or three surviving

If you can't get your head around the idea, that these people really, really want to reduce world population, then you are deluded.

If Bill Gates’ ultimate goal was to reduce population sizes why would he even bother donating money for things like vaccine and disease research?

It seems terribly roundabout, to save lives of both adults and children for the purpose of reducing the population in the end? Why not merely fund the abortions instead of vaccines?

Similarly, I don’t think the assumption that Gates meant birth control and condoms as opposed to just abortion is a great leap in the context of describing the reducing the rate of population growth. In the U.S. abortion rates have been relatively constant while the birth rate has significantly decreased presumably because of birth control/
