It seems that for whatever reasons Free Republic has now become an "anti-birther" website, and dedicated itself to protecting those who shielded Obama by mocking and insulting the people who questioned his obviously fraudulent qualifications.
Since my thoughts are no longer in sympathy with those of the management of this website, I'll be finding a different Internet venue to post on in the future, where I am not censored in a manner I find unreasonable.
Thanks to all sharing your thoughts with me over the past several years. Whether you agreed or disagreed with me, it has always been stimulating and entertaining, and occasionally enlightening.
Ahhh...a true vanity post on the way out!
Eh. For an opus, I give it a 6.5.
Ok! What now? I’m waiting!
3 (years) and out. Geez...and on a single subject, no less. Some people just have no staying power.
It seems that for whatever reasons Free Republic has now become an “anti-birther” website...
Pal. There are some anti-birthers here who have their heads stuck in the sand. But they are few and are dwindling fast.
And you are chosing to opus out over this issue???
No pot-shots at other posters cost him points on this opus.
Not sure where you get bashed as a Birther? Perhaps you should get on the Birther ping list, it’s just some of us are just busy w/other issues like saving our Country. Best wishes.
Pray for America
Don’t let nutty conspiracy theories ruin your life. They will.
While there may be a few anti-birhters, I haven't seen this on a large scale here.
What does “anti-birther” mean? I see multiple silly threads daily, usually from WND (Joe Farah has made it a real profit center). And then there are sometimes more serious threads regarding zerO’s refusal to reveal a long form BC. Are you being censored? I haven’t seen any evidence of that on FR.
I sense a disturbance on the farce...
My father used to say that his father used to say, “Dún an doras, má tá tú le do thoil”, which was Irish for “Don’t let the doorknob hit you in the fanny on the way out.”
‘Eh. For an opus, I give it a 6.5.’
I give it a 3.2. Especially in its blatant falsification of recent history. Or has someone secretly put non-sequitur in charge here?
Because Opi come along so infrequently these days....
Like the entire Democrat party promoted and supported by the Communist and Socialist Partys..
That means the U.S. is crawling with traitors anarchists and espionage agents of various types..
In and out of the federal state and local governments..
Its a little late to get all pissy faced over Obamas qualifications..
I miss Orly. She is the most interesting of the birthers.
The management is "anti-birther"? Huh.. First I heard anything like that.
As for me, I'm anti-dentite.
A couple of years, things get hard, and you quit. Sounds familiar...
Now you should have time to travel to those other 12 states you have yet to step foot in.
Way too short for an Opus. Not nearly enough vitriol or exclamation marks!!!!
Ny the way... there sure are an awful lot of “birther” posts for an “anti-birther” website.
It was, for the most part, grammatically correct. Sweets. :^)
I’m a RAVING! anti-dentite!!
As soon as you leave, we are all going to talk about you.
This is really piss poor as these things go.
Pretty soon you'll be saying they should have their own schools...
Stick around. The current weirdness will iron itself out soon, like it always does over time.
is that Glenn Beck? heh
Please don’t do that. Wine spit all over my laptop is not a good thing.
Even if he manages to make it to Jan 2013, US history will forever be marred with this usurpation.
Didn’t Orly file a cease and desist against the Robinsons for the posts here?
I never understood the fascination with her. I guess we missed whatever it was.
I don't recall that but it wouldn't surprise me.
What does anti-birther mean?
Good question. Most people are birthers. Like Chrissy Matthews for instance.
Lets be sure we know the definition of a birther. First of all, a birther is NOT someone who always believes Obama was born in Kenya.
To put it simply, a birther is anyone who doubts the authenticity of the circumstances of Obama’s birth. Plain and simple.
Even those who vehemently disagree with this issue and wish we would focus on other issues? They are birthers too. They know Obama is lying and covering up. They just wish we all would shut up about it.
To define an anti-birther is simple: An Obama-bot who believes every word out of the lying purple lips of the Pres__ent regarding his birth is true and believes the COLB is proof positive that Obama is eligible to be the president.
You show me a FReeper like that, and I’ll make it my life’s mission to see they get the zot.
There are no anti-birthers on this site.
This board is against births?
What’s so bad about births?
I mean...except for the mom...there’s the whole tear and all.
I thought that was a threat from that Debbie Schlussel nut or whatever her name is.
The Russian judge gives it a 2 ....
I am pretty sure she did, because I tried to post one of her items and got “the message.”
Uhm.... that’s your opus?
There are anti birthers but there are plenty of birthers here on FR.
Don’t be a baby.
Anyway, you’ll be back.
Agreed. I used to think the birther issue was a non-starter, but now I’m takign it more seriously. The poster has to realize that most people here at FR are pretty committed to civil discourse, even when we disagree. When one of the few who likes to launch personal attacks does so, don’t quit — just hit the Abuse button.
FR is by far the best discussion forum on the Internet.
If I get handed a petition to impeach Obama because he hasn't produced a valid birth certificate, I'll sign it. In fact, I'll sign any petition that involves the impeaching of Obama for any reason. But I'm not pinning my hopes on Obama getting impeached whether I get to sign such a petition or not so I'm not going to dwell on that.
Instead, I've been focusing on what we can do - for example getting back the House (mission accomplished) and the Senate and White House (hopefully in 2012 through the ballot box).
I'm old enough to remember 1979 when it seemed that all was lost. Jimmy Carter was in the White House, the economy was in the tank and America appeared to be losing its standing in the world. Little did we know at the time that we were on the brink of the Reagan revolution and nearly two uninterrupted decades of unparalleled prosperity and American greatness.
I believe that we are on the brink of yet another such renaissance.
Of all the issues we bicker about here, the birth certificate is one of the few that FReepers seems to be largely in agreement on. And at least our disagreements on the issue are relatively well behaved.
