A loved one is in turmoil. He's a young loved one and he's an Iraq Army Vet.
I can't pray specifically, just that he gets some wisdom and some peace pretty quickly. And I pray God will help him find his true home.

I believe the blessing comes with selfless prayer.
Has he gone to the VA...there are now excellant programs for help.
I believe that some vets are concerned about seeking help because it might prevent them from getting future jobs.
Trust me...I can’t be anymore selfless.
I am powerless here. I have done everything I can do.
This involves young, stupid people. But it’s time for the YOUNG STUPID person to wake up.
Family has been so supportive...but we just can’t fix it.

You are right. You can’t fix it. Only God can fix it. Maybe it’s time to let go and let God. Trite I know, but true. I will pray for God to intervene.

I have helped him to the tune of a lot of money.
Where he is, apparently, is not good ... but he doesn’t have his guns.
His car is here. I towed the belongings back.
He went back to where he’s in the National Guard.
We thought he had changed his station....but there’s also a ... woman out there.
And...he left his 5 year old daughter (I originally went to just get her...but HE decided he wanted me to bring him home...) So, we have ONE of his kids...the mother is ANOTHER story. She gives her kids away...she had TWO before she met him and gave them up to the father...my nephew has THREE with her and she just gave the oldest girl away to my brother and SIL...

Not wrong to ask for prayers. As you say, that is all you can do when you have done all you can do. May the Lord ease your heart and give you peace of mind in the midst of the storms.

I scared that this is going to harm my brother. I love him so much.
My SIL is handicapped and he has upping blood pressure.
My niece is terrific... she never does ANYTHING wrong and she is helping take care of her niece.
My nephew SHOULD be a man...but he’s not... he acts like a kid.
My brother asked me to go get my great-niece because he couldn’t afford it. He’s a working man...but they have piled money into their house and ..
it’s a long story. We just need your prayers.

I have a friend who’s SORT of in a situation like this...and yeah, it’s been WAY beyond hard for she & her husband....unless people have walked in your shoes they have NO idea, do they?
Like you said..IT’S FAMILY and you do what you do! You do the best you can with the resources you have..and you pray, and you help.
Plain. And. Simple.
