*******************THIS IS A WORK OF TOTAL FICTION ********************

The US Embassy in Cairo was taken over by islamic militants. Preliminary reports indicate that a number of Embassy employees are being held hostage, including Ambassador Margaret Scobey and her family.

The Press Secretary for the Egyptian government asserts that the embassy is secure and the embassy staff is perfectly safe.

However our efforts to directly contact the embassy have been unsuccessful.

Sources at the State Department, speaking under conditions of anonymity, tell GNN that secure communications to the Embassy are also down. "It's like Iran all over again" the source said, referring to the Carter era take over of of the embassy in Terran.

Ya know? The Modern Carter (Now available in color!) only needs a US Embassy hostage crisis to complete the image...

Just stopping by to say that I don't like fiction and I don't like satire. I think we live in an age which is so messed up that it is not conducive to satire.

But that's just my opinion. Carry on.

Back to the future.

If only there were a Reagan waiting in the wings.

Today is a good day to die.
I didn't say for whom.

It wasn’t satire as much as a warning.

Also a spotlight on just how impotent and incompetent the current occupier of the White House is.

Just for a moment imagine that the embassy really is taken over. What would Obama do? Feel free to speculate, but remember that Carter gave us the Ayatollahs and ultimately an atomic Iran.

A few of the hostages say that Ahmadinejad was one of the hostage takers. What gift that keeps on giving could Obama give us?

He’s no Reagan, but I think Bolton would make a fine president.

Well, here's what I would do -- and what Obama would not do:

Televised speech from the White House: "The United States would see a takeover of our embassy as an act of war. We've been there before and we will handle the situation differently this time. If our diplomats are taken hostage, we will start the clock. If their freedom is not restored within 24 hours, we will destroy Cairo with a large nuclear weapon, killing our diplomats, as well as a million Muslims. What we are saying is that the Egyptian governmet's HIGHEST priority is the safety of our diplomats. Goodnight.

Hmmm. Add something like: we will not allow you to use our diplomats as pawns.

Can someone please call Obamah away from the golf course today!

I noticed Joe Biden was in charge today, making statements.

Maybe Obamah can call upon Bill Clinton again, presidenting is hard work!

Careful, you “might” take out some muslim “holy” site.

Seriously though, I’d think we have to consider Mecca. You got an hour to get live coverage of their release, while our Israeli allies will be landing on the roof to pick them up, or from now until the end of time (a whole lot sooner for some of you than others), you “people” will be praying to an inhospitable hole in the ground.

Now if we have to nuke Mecca, the whole BS about how we’re not at war with Islam goes out the window, so hit the rest of their big sites at the same time. Probably conventional for the rest of them, unless there are any others that are so “special” they need the symbolism that can only truly be expressed with fissionable material in small quantities but smaller volumes.

We could a lot of them with drones operated from the USA. Sell tickets to operate them, and let the general population have some fun, while raising some cash for the DoD. I’ll kick in for a ticket for the child of one of our troops killed in action by these scum, along with a copy of Ender’s Game for when he’s a little older.

Oh, and Iran, we’re coming in to inspect for nukes, and we’re not going to find any. Whether that’s because you removed them voluntarily or because of a pre-inspection ICBM site visit is up to you.

Just one day of being everything they accuse us of is all I’m asking.

I think the odds are very good that nukes will be used within the next 5 years. By somebody.

It's a reasonable request.
