The passing of Anthony "Budge" Rahe

It is with a broken heart, that I must announce the passing of a long time FReeper, and friend to many on FR. Budge Rahe passed away yesterday at his home in Pine Bluff Arkansas.
Budge and I have been friends for many years, and would talk to each other almost every day. I talked to him Monday evening, and he was doing fine. Tuesday morning, I got a call from Budge's boss, and he told me that Budge had passed away.
I will be in contact with Budge's nephew, and will post any further news that I find out.

Don’t know how many of you got to meet Budge when he came to DC about 10 years ago. He will be sorely missed. What sad news, Buford... thanks for the alert. Wow, it's been a long time since I've heard Budge's name on FR, yet after a quick check of his posts, I find that he has been very active here, as recently as 1/31/11. I believe I do remember meeting him in DC back during the end of the Clintoon era.
