Pop Star Justin Beeber Booed At NY Knicks Game
NY CBS ^ | 03 FEB 11 | NEW YORK (CBSNewYork/AP)

Maybe it was because the arena was filled with die-hard sports fans, and not his usual audience of tweens.

Whatever it was, pop star Justin Bieber was loudly booed at Wednesday night’s Knicks game at Madison Square Garden.

A video making the rounds on YouTube shows the footage from the game, and the commentators can be heard joking about the loud Bronx cheer. The crowd erupted as when the singer was shown wearing pink glasses on the overhead scoreboard.

I’ve never understood why celebrity types have to ‘get seen’ at NBA games.

His handlers should have realized that an athletic event is not the type of venue for a kid that looks like, frankly, a poofter.

“I’ve never understood why celebrity types have to ‘get seen’ at NBA games.”

Maybe he just enjoys attending events where he can watch large sweaty black men jumping and running in shorts?

Oh brother, he is horrible!

I don’t get his popularity, except maybe among 12 year old teenyboppers.

I don’t know anything about the kid except that he’s some big deal with the teens.

But really, he was just a kid going to a basketball game. Unless he tried to attract attention to himself, I think the booing was uncalled for.

Glad to see this twit booed in front of a real crowd, not fawning teenyboppers.

Remember Hillary getting loudly booed at the 911 concert ?

Before they edited it out from the DVD. ?

I have original VHS tape from that night, it’s hilarious.

Save it in a time capsule.

Hating on Bieber has become a cultural phenomenon. You can’t go to a video for a great song on YouTube without seeing in the comments, “F Bieber! THIS is real music!” Others say, “Who cares about Bieber! Just enjoy the song!” I’m with them. If the kid has connected with a certain segment of the market, good for him. He seems to be a Christian, which is nice, and I can and do choose to ignore his music, myself.

I was at this game last night. Needless to say, booing Bieber was the highlight of my night since the Knicks sucked. His glasses were so ridiculous. He took them off when he saw himself on the big screen.

My 16-y.o. niece has said that Beeb is one Canadian she’d like to see extradited for his ‘music’, charged with ‘crimes against humanity’.

I’ve told her I’ll supply the handcuffs...and a gag.

We have plenty of class, actually. We just don't suffer fools.

John Larroquette was shown on the big screen to the theme music of "Night Court" and received a rousing applause.

That kid lives in a bubble with yes men and ass kissers all around. When he was exposed to the real world, he finally found out the world doesn't revolve around him.

He seems to be a Christian, which is nice, and I can and do choose to ignore his music, myself.

During a recent sermon on prayer, my preacher had a music video run that featured Bieber's song "pray". I'd never heard it, or heard hardly anything about the kid previously. The song wasn't bad (though pretty heavily produced), and presented a great message. I'm inclined to cut him a break.
