(CBS) A French man is suing global pharmaceutical giant GlaxoSmithKline, claiming that Requip (ropinirole), a drug he was taking to treat Parkinson's disease, turned him into a gambling and gay sex addict, according to a report.

Uh, well ... compulsive behavior and loss of inhibition might be associated with certain drugs, but I seriously doubt it overrode his preexisting moral code.
Think of it as sort of like the accelerator getting stuck in a Prius. It’s not doing anything it wasn’t doing already, it’s just doing it faster and more erratically.

Sinemet - long used drug for Parkenson’s Disease. Here is one side effect:
Note hypersexuality. Nervous System/Psychiatric: psychotic episodes including delusions, hallucinations, and paranoid ideation, neuroleptic malignant syndrome, bradykinetic episodes (”on-off” phenomenon), confusion, agitation, dizziness, somnolence, dream abnormalities including nightmares, insomnia, paresthesia, headache, depression with or without development of suicidal tendencies, dementia, pathological gambling, increased libido including hypersexuality, impulse control symptoms. Convulsions also have occurred; however, a causal relationship with Sinemet has not been established.
Sexual side effects of Parkinson disease drugs is long established.
