"Good Samaritan" Shot Himself While Trying to Kill Feral Cat, Wasn't Robbed By Gunman
River Front Times ^ | February 15, 2011 | Chad Garrison

The cat is out of the bag.

The "Good Samaritan" who made news earlier today after he was shot in the hand -- allegedly by a man he tried to help -- is a big fat liar, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff Department.

Earlier this afternoon, Sheriff Oliver "Glenn" Boyer held a news conference to report that the shooting victim has now been charged with filing a false police report.

Under questioning this morning, the man reportedly confessed to sheriff deputies that he'd fabricated the story last night about being shot by an injured man that he tried to assist near Highway 30 and NN, about 35 miles southwest of St. Louis.

The truth is that he accidentally shot himself while trying to kill a feral cat.

He was only shot in the hand.... I have it from good sources that Viking Kitty’s aim is a whole lot better.

6 feet of rope, a can of cat food, a havahart trap, and a body of water could have helped prevent that gunshot wound. But we’re talking about a moron to begin with so...

Humane trap + no-kill shelter = no wounded hand.

Even if he dropped it off at the shelter with a donation, he’d be ahead of the game.

I wonder if he’ll be forced to reimburse the sheriff’s department for the expenses incurred while doing helicopter search and manhunt. Heh.

A havaheart trap AND a body of water??? Sounds like we're talking about TWO morons now. Look out for that Karma, baby.

It was hypothetical example of how to quietly and safely dispose of a pest. I’m a cat owner. It’s an indoor cat. Feral cats are pests. Karma doesn’t bother me much, even when I’m elbow deep in deer entrails during hunting season.

Had to get your stupid heartless comment in there to display what a “L” you are huh? People that do what you say are scum of the earth...lowlife nobodies who kill the innocent animal to try to make themselves feel like a man, when in reality you are truly a sad piece of pond scum...and you know it. God’ll get ya.

Never said I've done that. I said it was hypothetical example of how the man in the story could have avoided shooting himself. I've never killed a cat. I never resorted to personal attacks or name calling either, I merely reacted to being called a moron.

As for God, you might want to brush up on Proverbs and Genesis when it comes to killing animals. The're not people in case you weren't aware, and they do serve a purpose.

Uh, no. The "moron" comment came after you determined that the best way to dispose of feral cats was drowning them alive. Only a lowlife would say that.

My neighborhood ferals are neutered and spayed, fed twice daily, and are sweet, homeless souls. Glad you don't believe in Karma.

Never said anything about a "best way." Not a buddhist so no karma for me. Spaying does not account for the threat ferals pose as an invasive species to native wildlife, nor the parasites and diseases ferals carry and spread through fecal contamination and bites.

They are pests, and do not belong wandering the streets any less than packs of wild dogs do.

Blah, blah blah. When ferals are fed, they pose NO threat to birds or lizards, or any wildlife. KARMA, BABY. Don’t have to be a Buddhist to understand that what goes around, comes around.

And p.s. - they do not bite, unless they have the opportunity to do so with jackass lowlife who try to trap and drown them.

LOL!

But first promise that you will never kill a feral cat by drowning him alive.
