Found one.

19 posts back... Something to consider.

How about we all, stop sniping at each other, and focus on the COMMUNISTS for a change.

And yes, they’re communists.

Walker needs to win this fight first.

That said, for Freepers not from Wisconsin, this guy is the original tea party. Conservative to the core. The only thing he has in common with Scott Brown is the first name.

And for the Palin fans, what Walker is doing here is sort of what I think we wished Palin could done. I.e. Gotten experience on the front line governing in a true battle against the socialistic State that exists in the US. (yeah, yeah, I know she served two years as a red state governor in a red state but what Walker is doing is taking it to what is essentially a blue State)

Draft Scott Walker? Not only no, but hell no.

Sure he's doing good stuff. But 2 years as governor is not enough experience to be considering a run for the presidency. It would be irresponsible, not to mention hubristic.

So far it’s been all talk. I’ll give it to ya that he looks good, we’ll have to see.
He has the votes and should squash them like a bug! We’ll see.

That makes him at least 10 times more qualified already, than Obama.

How is it that Obama always somehow becomes the standard for experience, when it comes to touting potential candidates who have inadequate experience? Walker has been governor for what ... a month? He hasn't even broken in his chair yet.

Just saying...

The idea of an election is to win. Not to find excuses not to.

I’ll support any Republican ready to take it to the left.

At the moment, that’s Walker.

Palin already fixed everything in Alaska, And left the most conservative Gov. in charge.

Not to pop your pickle, I like what Walker is doing right now, but it's far too early to put him at the top of any list.

Do you remember the posters who said they wanted Scott Brown for president after he won?

I don't think many here would suggest that now. Let's see how he does for a couple of years, maybe he'll be a superstar candidate down the road if he continues to be successful.

Who said anything about the top of any list?

I’m just trying to say, he should now be in play.

He’s the sort of person, we should be pushing out front.

IMHO Palin remains at the top of the list.

I’ll be more impressed if he calls in the National Guard to restore peace and order. Fact is, so far Walker hasn’t actually accomplished much of anything. Let’s see how this all plays out.

Well, maybe I misunderstood your first post:

Time to add Guv Walker (high) on the list of potential GOP candidates for 2012.

Hey, I like what he's doing, don't misunderstand me, I just think we should give him a little more time before pushing him hard. I wish him well in the battle he's undertaking, it's an important one for all of us, important that his ideas prevail now.

Can we wait to see if he actually follows through before jumping on the bandwagon, please?

I see it more like kicking the liberal hornet’s nest.

Intentionally.

As often, and every way, possible. :)

We’re way too nice to liberals.

Sometimes waaaaay too nice.

I never particularly liked "the new tone".

Well you’ll get no “new tone” from this poster.

I think the GOP is surrendering domestically, just like “free trade” RINOs are surrendering internationally.

The left is wrong. Dangerous. Perhaps even evil.

But their tactics work. We should be the same way, back. But more determined. No circular firing squads. No nay-saying.

Always, always attack.

(figuratively speaking of course)

:)

If the left sees one of ours as a potential threat (you can tell, because they start acting like lunatics about that person) then we should unabashedly begin supporting that person.

They’re going after Walker. So we should be egging them on...

DRAFT SCOTT WALKER 2012?

That was my quick, knee jerk, response to his efforts in Wisconsin. I am extremely impressed with him. He is, without a doubt, presidential. HOWEVER ... it's going to take more than a year and a half to clean up Wisconsin. There is so much slop from all these years of Doyle to set right. I'm afraid there is no way to accomplish it in such a short time frame. I'm going to be a little selfish and say we need to keep Walker in the governor's office for a full term (or two) until we get our own house in order. After that, I'd be willing to share him with a vote to the White House.

Very rarely does one this clarity of vision. It’s exactly what we need.

I'll give you that. Walker has displayed more intestinal fortitude than any Republican I've seen since Reagan.

This certainly isn't a good reason to reject Walker. As Obama has shown us, it's all about the ideology. You can surround yourself with the functionaries necessary to make it happen. What it does sound like is the old argument "he doesn't have enough seniority to run as Republican presidential candidate." This is the sort of thinking that gave us McCain and Dole. For a party that is anti-union, the Republicans seem to put a lot of stock in seniority. Honoring seniority this go around only plays into the hands of establishment RINOs.
