A box of Girl Scout cookies landed one Collier County woman in jail this weekend.
Hersha C. Howard, 31, Ambrosia Lane, Golden Gate Estates, was arrested Sunday by Collier deputies in the 7000 block of Ambrosia Lane. She was charged with aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon after a fight with another woman over a box of Thin Mints.

Yesterday the report was a cat fight in Denny’s because a gal at one table axed for a gal at the next table to pass syrup for her pancake.

You are probably correct. I’m glad our Grand Daughter isn’t involved with the Brownies/Girl Scouts these days.
She sold so many cookies on the cul de sac, where she lived and where her parents worked and to her grandparents. The scouts wanted prepayment from the buyers due the size of her order, basically a delivery truck just for her orders.
We helped her deliver the cookies one year, loading up wagon after wagon of cookies just for the people living on her cul de sac.
She got into trouble from a couple of upset parents for selling directly to some of kids in her neighborhood. I told one screaming banshee on her block complaining that her kids bought cookies from our grand daughter. If she shared her cookies with her kids, they wouldn’t have to buy their own from the cookie dealer. She didn’t speak to me for months.
Samoas. Those are the cookie with the peanut butter center and then covered with chocolate.

In September 2010, Christopher Coates – Voting Section Chief for the DOJ – testified to the U.S. Commission on Civil Rights and corroboated Adams' assertion that the Department had routinely ignored civil rights cases involving white victims. For more than a year, Holder's DOJ had denied the Commission's requests to hear Coates' testimony and had instructed Coates not to testify. (That is normally called obstruction of justice, but, of course under Holder, only White Republicans can break the law so its OK.) But in September 2010, Coates finally chose to go public with his story and asked for protection under whistleblower laws. more at link

A couple of decades ago, ‘apparently’ a couple of our younger relatives bought some boxes on their own.
Then months later they took them to high school and sold them for a $/Cookie. They usually sold out in minutes.
I asked one if he ever got caught by those in charge. He laughed that one vice principal caught him. The vp was bribed with an extra cookie if he bought 2.
Of course you find out about these ventures into capitalism decades later.:)

He must have gotten off on seeing the physical assault or something. There's no way my husband would have let that happen.
