I'm not real computer literate. When I type a letter into the Google box, all my previous searches starting with that letter come up. Is there any way to delete those?
Don’t go to porn sites and you won’t have to worry about what comes up automatically on search....
At the bottom of the box with all of the prior entries are the words “Clear History.” Click on it.
You can turn that off in your Google settings. I’m using Firefox/Windows 7 and there’s a gear icon in the upper right that I can click on to access the settings. Not sure what you’re using and if you’ve got the same icon, but you should be able to find some sort of settings link on Google.
Clean out your cookies and that should do it. You will have to remember all your passwords for all your other sites (like FR) that now log you in automatically.
I don’t think that was the answer he was looking for.
IIRC that can be a browser feature. Maybe a Google feature too?
Are you logged on?
I use Firefox. Be sure the blinking cursor line is operating in the search window. Right-click the window and a drop-down menu will appear. Select ‘Clear search history’. Put a ‘done’ stamp on it.
Stop looking at pr0n and you won’t have to worry about it...
Delete your browsing history, cache, cookies, etc. But be aware that whenever you type a letter into the google search engine it’s going to start proferring possibilities.
Just go into the tools section of Internet explorer and delete the cache files.

This works on my XP computer:
Put your mouse cursor over the search item you want to erase. See if there is a small red X at the far right end of that item.
Click on the red X and that search item will be erased.

I am taking it as you mean your google search box, you should be able to right click inside the box and choose “clear search history” or you may be seeing the suggested searchs if so right click and un check the “show suggestions” this is in firefox I think it is the same in IE.
I have not used Windows in so long it is hard for me to remember I run Linux so if I am wrong someone correct me LOL!
