OMG!

I’m SO sorry about mini mom!

I used to have ducks [five Pekins] and they can get to be just like little weird looking dogs.

Mine followed me literally *everywhere* I went...even on walks up the mountain, me with 5 ducks and 2 Dobes trailing behind....what a sight that must have been.

We’d stop on the way back and they’d play in the fish pond until I called them back out.
[they were very obedient and bright]

I’d sit out on the sidewalk in the summer, playing a Casio keyboard and they’d hop and run me like they were dancing.
They were such fun.

My Prestone-poison loving neighbor complained about them quacking and rather than have them meet some agonizing fate when I wasn’t there to save them, I gave them to my cousin’s wife.

That was over 20 years ago and I still miss them.

What kind of duck was mini mom?

Gosh.
I’m just SO sorry for your loss.

:(

That post said more about the real *you* than any of us could have *ever* said.

Even if I HATED some other poster, I would be sorrowful for the loss of their pet.

As much as I hate to admit it, considering the rest of your vitriol, *that* crack actually shocked me.

You have no heart to break.

And there it finally is; “projection”, the last refuge of an abject loser.

I love the the stench of utter desperation in the evening.

Ironic that you chose a moniker from something slimy that wiggles through the gutter.

The only projection and lies are coming from you. You’ve failed to make a rational argument and only conducted personal attacks.

How many little kids have your dogs chewed on? Go back to DU, thats where people like you belong.

In Christian symbolism, the salamander represents one who has suffered the fires of persecution and emerged, by the Grace of God, unscathed.

If you had any brains or knowledge of Christianity, you’d have known that.

I have not lied even *once*.
I have merely pointed out you fallacious statements.
I’m sorry that has upset you to the point of pathetic, bargain-basement histrionics.

More projection from the heartless animal hater.
I am *so* surprised.

How many kids have my dogs chewed on?

Let me see....

/ponders total body count, tallies fatalities versus survivable maulings, stitch versus non-stitch incidents

Hmmm.

How odd.

NONE.

Every single Dobe I’ve ever had adored children and usually appointed themselves guardians of visiting kids.
[even the Dobes who were trained to -totally- “stop” a man]

The desperation-induced DU meme you are trying to plant is not taking root.
Give over.

People here -know- me very well.

You should have figured that out since no but *you* has any problems with me.

[look up “empiric evidence”...maybe you’ll learn something, little girl]

At least my user name doesn’t imply I’m too lazy to even ~swim~ and am content to just let the currents of life carry me where they will.

[sounds kinda like a liberal ideology, to me]

:)

LOL!

Now I’ve got you “yelling” your desperation.

You’re just too easy.

Try and work on that.

Keep displaying that Christian grace and you’ll be leading others to salvation. Thats if your dog doesn’t eat them first.

Just curious...do you ~actually~ believe you’re “scoring points” with any of your hysterical, inane rejoinders?

You should really do something about your Cynophobia.

You’ll have to wait patiently for further masochistic delights because I’m about to start aquascaping my aquarium and it’s too much bother to keep washing and drying my hands for typing, just to satisfy your frantic need for my attention.

I’ll be back later....maybe.

I’m thinking of sketching out an upcoming art project after the aquarium is done time so time to waste on you is rapidly dwindling and you are nothing if not infinitely boring.

Mini mom was a Muscovy. I have 3 girls and 2 boys left, all Muscovy. I plan to get additional breeds. We also have 4 Toulouse geese and 26 assorted chickens—all layers. They all keep me laughing and in eggs.

My wife takes about 7 dozen eggs to our local food bank each week. You should see how they light up with smiles when those folks realize they are getting what I call “Gator eggs”... all fresh, brown, free-range and no chemicals..... for free.

Being a herding breed, my GSD has easily adapted to the birds. He helps to herd them in at night. Unfortunately, the geese don’t want anything to do with him, at least not yet. This spring, we are going to try to get a couple of freshly hatched goslings to imprint on Falco.... that might be fun and they would be the safest geese in the county. LOL

We started the chickens when they were 2 day old chicks and they would crawl all over Falco. He seems to think they are his responsibility. Funny, I feed my dog a raw diet. Part of that diet is a quarter chicken a day... he hasn’t put it all together. LOL

I sure do ramble on..... ;>)

Cheers......

Awww....:(

I’m happy though that you have plenty of survivors.

I had 3 Toulouse for about 10 years.

Bob T. Gander could whup anything in this county.
His “wives” Lucy and Gert were a trip.

Lucy was a welfare queen.
She’d lay her eggs in Gert’s nest and poor sweet, motherly Gert would happily accept them amongst her own.
Then Lucy would take off and run with Bob, leaving Gert to brood them.

Never had any hatch though [makes ya wonder about Bob, don’t it?] and I hated to do it but I had to take the eggs away from Gert and get rid of them or she’d brood until she starved to death.

Unfortunately, Bob would hear her shrieking and come running to flop the bejeebers outta me.
Whatever.
The eggs had to go or she’d die.

[Lucy was *such* an irresponsible tramp]

When the Canadian geese would fly overhead from the ponds, they’d all run below, trying to join them.
Sometimes Lucy would actually make it over the fence, if she a good tail wind.
Then she’d run around the fence, screaming hysterically to get put back *in*.

Poor dumb goose never figured out the whole “action/consequence” thing.

I miss having chickens.

I raised them from peepees out in the kitchen and taught them silly tricks.
[it’s an old farmhouse...nothing odd about that]...:)

Hubby ate a “real” egg once and was put off by it.
He’s used to those anemic things from the market.

I didn’t even bother offering him scrambled goose eggs.

They would’ve really blown his mind.

Now I’ve just got the dogs, the goats and one remaining rabbit.
[10+ year old Booger passed last month...sweet old guy]

Psycho Bunny [*not* the FReeper] doesn’t really seem to care that he’s gone.
Just leaves more carrots, hay and sweet feed for her, I reckon.

The Ibizans would run the goats because they resemble their “natural prey” too much.

I’m not sure what Odin thinks of them.

He and Spike, my little black pygmy doe will stand, totally immobile, for 10-15 minutes, just staring at each other through the fence.

Maybe they’re playing “statue”.

“I sure do ramble on..... ;>)”

Lawd, you was bawn a ramblin’ man.....LOL

That was a fun post.

About the goose eggs. I’ve read that they have a rich flavor, so they are recommended for scrambled, omelets and baking.

I recently tried my very first goose egg. I fried it “over medium” in butter. No Guts, No Glory.

I was pleasantly surprised... it was quite good. I felt a bit decadent in eating an egg that sells for $5 egg or $40 a dozen.

I probably won’t eat many goose eggs because they’re too big, as well as my concerns over heart health. From time to time I will simply spoil myself.

This past summer we loaded up our Airstream trailer with fresh farm eggs and headed out for a 30 day vacation. I insist that any eggs we eat be very fresh, so we couldn’t take enough to get us through the month.

We ran out and had to buy a dozen white eggs from a grocery store. YUCK... sickening. I didn’t realize just how spoiled I was. I didn’t finish eating the eggs and I gave them to my......... BABY KILLING VICIOUS DOG.

Cheers......

How will pepper spray do against any of these dogs? I have it, I carry it, but if it will just tick them off, I would rather carry something else.

Twice on walks my dog has been attacked by dogs twice his height. He being a scrappy terrier managed to lock on to the attacking dogs necks. I couldn't get him to let go. I spreyed him with pepper spray on his nose. After about 20 seconds he let go. Pepper spray dosage is meant for humans. They use the stuff on bears but with a much higher dosage.

The “egg scare” thing is pure BS.

The yolk of the egg contains tons of lecithin which pretty much negates the “evil” cholesterol.

“Cholesterol” is a scam, in general.

Your -brain- and every other organ -needs- it to run and if you don’t have *enough*, you’ll die.
Only 20% of the cholesterol in your body is from what you eat...your liver cranks out the rest whether you want it to or not.

Eat the eggs.
They’re a “perfect” food.

Beef is loaded with L-carnitine and taurine which strengthen your heart.

*Not* eating it deprives you of those very cardio-essential amino acids.

Take lecithin capsules or granules [best choice] because lecithin is an emulsifier which binds with fat and it’ll clean out your pipes like Drano.

Take Ubiquinol capsules, too.
[the best form of Coenzyme Q10]

Avoid sugar completely.
It’s white death.
Use raw, organic honey instead.
It doesn’t jerk your glucose levels around.

Do those few things and you’ll never die....:)

Odin doesn’t care for eggs so I hand feed him raw, bloody chunks of beef every morning, instead.
[there aren’t any little kids in my area so I make do with what I can]

I swear...some people.

LMAO.

God how I hate to say this because I LOVE all dogs but if you walk in a very high risk area for dog attacks, get a cattle prod.

One about 4 feet long will keep you out of collateral damage range and they work instantly and they’re non-lethal but very, very effective.

They don’t cost much.

*cringe*

I *hate* those things being used on cows, let alone dogs but if your dog’s life is at stake.....whatever it takes.

[Lord, please forgive me for posting that]

Yes, Greys are fragile. They don’t have that thick fat layer that other dogs do. Very thin skinned. I’ve seen my dogs get cuts from walking past sharp twigs. That would never happen to a Lab.
