The Supreme Court has ruled that slander ,if malicious, is actionable even against public figures. When we speculate as to sexual actions and say they are fact, we open ourselves up to million dollar law suits unless we have proof. And we have no proof. Do we?

If you believe that Newtie is "the one", then it is patently obvious that you have no idea, whatsoever, about his history; both personal and political.

There is absolutely NO WAY that Newtie will be the GOP presidential candidate for '12. And his negatives are THE worst of the lot named as even possible candidates!

Pssssssssssssssst........."real leadership" ? In what universe? Surely not this one! He repeatedly caved to Bill Clinton, when he was "Leader of the House".

You bet it is and there are also ones with Hillary, pushing for ObamaCare.

Then there are all of the things Newtie said, did, didn't do when he was in the House! The man has more baggage than Bill Clinton, Hillary Clinton, and Obama combined! And his negatives are higher than any of the possible GOP contenders, including Mitt; which is saying a lot!

Gingrich is the only one who would eviscerate "the one" in a debate.

He could remind U.S. of his experience as a balancer of the federal budget, a shrinker of the welfare rolls, a reducer of the unemployment, He is a national leader who has already accomplished these things, etc. Clinton proved that your personal sex life is irrelevant.

Irrelevant only to Clinton's supporters. And Gingrich showed a degree of faithlessness that is emblematic and turns everything else he has said and done to ashes.

FWIW, I've been a very active FReeper since 2001 and have never made the kinds of statements towards other FReepers as you have.

I happen to like Mike Pence, Jim DeMint and Michele Bachmann. Does that mean I hate women and have a worthless existence on a Conservative site?

As for "Bots," the only images on my FR home page are the American Flag, my family, and Second Amendment symbols.

That's what we said about McCain! Remember Bob Dole?

With a few exceptions, Republicans have a long history of nominating the worst posssible presidential candidate for the times.

It's what they do. It's what they are good at. Snatching defeat from the jaws of Victory. Smart money is betting on Disaster!

Newtie won't make it out of the primaries, so forget your daydream of him debating Obama!

His private immorality isn't his only problem ! He's a true believer in MAN MADE GLOBAL WARMING, he traveled around the nation with Hillary, pushing for an ObamaCare type of government run takeover, he's an enviro-weenie, and those things are just the tip of the iceberg.

Newtie WILL be crushed and crushed badly, within a week of declaring, IF ( and that's a big "IF" ) he even ever throws his hat into the ring! There is so much stuff to throw at him, that he really is delusional, if he imagines that nothing from his past isn't going to be immediately hauled out and thrown all over him!

Unfortunately, Mitt has a better chance of grabbing defeat, for us, from the jaws of victory and I don't want either of them ( nor the Huckster, for that matter ) anywhere near being our candidate in '12.

She did a beautiful job of shutting that A’hole O’Reilly up tonight. He has her on for commentary, then cuts her off and interrupts constantly. But she shows what a simpleton he is by simply saying that “we hav ea four second delay from the satellite that makes it hard for me to finish, so I want to complete my previous point” and then just goes on and does it. O’Blather didn’t know WTF hit him.

Yes, he is ! But I doubt that, that alone, is going to enable him to win the Iowa primary.

He also has a touch of McCain's instability. Do you remember his public grumbling about where he sat, in Air Force 1, on a trip with Clinton?

But he can't outrun the TWO ethical and moral anchors around his neck.

He knows what those are and, if he doesn't, most of the rest of us do.

Obama will simply say in all those years you faile dto cut one program. the budget is a function of the overlying economy. you were blessed to have a great economy under Pres Clinton. i on the other hand inherited a shattered economy form Pres bush that required me to spend money to ensure those that suffered under the failed economic polices of Bush and the republicans had food to eat and a roof over their heads. If not for those failed Policies I would have had no need to spend the money. and you are here pushing those same failed polices.

Nice try. I don't believe that means we can't judge those who would lead us (or rule us, which unfortunately, is what most of them want to do).

In any case, Newt isn't suitable material (yep, I'm passing judgment on him). I'd make a better President. And I'd have a better chance of getting elected.
