Boy, I really hit a nerve. I haven’t had this much fun in weeks.

Here is the point. One more time for the thick headed.

HE WAS AN ASSHOLE THIEF, AND PEOPLE THAT ACT THAT WAY TO STRANGERS ARE JERKS!

You hit a nerve? That’s a laugh. Which one of us is typing 10 paragraphs each post using all caps and multiple exclamation points? It’s a dead giveaway, buddy. You can’t take criticism of your profession, so you freak out about it, and you freak out about it in a rather frenzied and immature way. I played along to give you a taste of the rational side of things, but I see that was a waste of time.

Made the mistake of letting a vacuum salesman in the door. 4 hours later, they believed me when I said no. They did clean some of my carpet. They drop the guys off doing demos and come back with 2 sales people to finalize the sale.

Did you know the Kirby vacuum with the price starting at $2400 can be had for $700.00 just about the time they break out in tears of frustration?

“is pretty desperate for money...” Please do not take this the wrong way but that is not really the case for most. For many sales people that CHOOSE to go door to door, not only do they make more money than your average joe, but they also tend to put in less hours (if they’re a good sales person), have no one over our shoulder micromanaging, no clock to punch, no office gossip or politics to deal with and have more work freedom than corporate mice. I work 12 hours a week and make almost as much as my father does at his 25+ yr job working 40+ hours a week. Please do NOT assume because we happen to walk up and knock on your door instead of calling you that “we” (sales people) are desperate for money. You know what they say about when you assume.....

Salesmen, good ones, dont need to lie. Thats like saying that all people of black or Hispanic decent are criminals. Just in PEOPLE there are good and there are bad. NOT ALL sales people are of the same ilk. As for “nothing sold by a door to door salesman that is worth buying” if you took TWO seconds to maybe check out what they were selling you might actually be surprised....just a thought....
