South Parks Trey Parker and Matt Stone describe their Broadway Musical, The Book of Mormon, as an atheist love letter to religion. The show, which opens March 24, tells the story of two young missionaries who travel to a troubled area of Africa beset by AIDS, poverty, a warlord who likes to force clitoridectomies, and just, overall, lots of despair to spread their faith. We spoke with the pair at length about just why they love and are obsessed with Mormons, how Star Wars is a religion, and the future of South Park.

Trey Parker and Matt Stone Talk About Why The Book of Mormon Isnt Actually Offensive, and the Future of South Park
sissies, and assklowns wont dare touch the death cult of islam...cowards...
Yeah, that's why they've already done several episodes featuring mohammed.
Who's the assclown now?
Uh, where the hell have you been?
You mean how they didn't dare touch it in at least three episodes. After all, the comment that "all Muslims are pissed because they have sand in their vaginas" certainly couldn't have come from such sissies and assklowns?
That was 9 years ago. southpark has lost it. there have been very few good ones since Mystery of the Urinal Deuce.
That recent one was totally ruined by all the beeps and everyone hated it. It made it WORSE because they comedy central caved so badly. But they still wanted to air the episode to get the ad money.
Now southpark is no different from any other crappy tv show like the simpsons. Working on Team America fried trey’s brain. Do you know the episode “Wing”? He was actually listening to that music for real because his brain was so fried after team america

Sorry for my ignorance, but what is Team America?
What you said BUMP.
Absolutely nothing is off limits to South Park.
One of the best dang movies ever!
It has a bunch of arab muslim terrorists whose voices sound like “dagga dagga durka durka”, and deals with some of those issues head on, like the 40s Bugs Bunny cartoons did with the germans. There’s pretty much nothing else like it.
It was awesome when it was made, until about 2007, But it’s a very time-specific film. Now we’re in the Bummer days, it’s not so incredibly timely as it was then.
You are the assclown....those episodes were done when we had some semblance of free speech (against islam) in this nation—when threats weren’t worried about inside the US except by very few.
They have caved in to islam. It is documented. They are cowards and only attack those who will not hack off their pathetic heads.
Not true. They’ve gone soft. Like trying to redefine “faggot” as “biker”. That wasn’t the old southpark.
The writers have gone all LA on us.
And Team America fried Trey’s brain.
Hey! Wing is good music. She is very popular on the upside down side of the world.
Sounds like this work will be mocking muslims yet that doesn't seem to be the focus of the NY writer's piece.
Can’t wait for ‘em to do one on the Wisconsin Protests...damn hippies...
I bet they are working on a Japan Earthquake one now in the same way they had a Katrina one just a few weeks after it happened.
Ok, so Trey became Newzealandish. That’s pretty seriously brainfried, for a kissmyblackass Colorado homeboy.
raygunfan, they did do the Mohammed episode but the very last time they did, Viacom was the one who told them to shut up and deleted the last scene. It won’t even be on the DVD as an extra.
But they are going soft, I agree. They have more pro- faggot-themed episodes than I can count.
One of the best dang movies ever!
I was hoping for that :)
It was a movie with Marrionettes that they did. Team America World Police.
The best part was the song. “America F ya!!! Coming again to save the mfing day yeah!!”
