Country entertainer Ferlin Husky dies at age 85

Ferlin Husky, a pioneering country music entertainer in the 1950s and early '60s known for hits like "Wings of a Dove" and "Gone," died Thursday. He was 85.

The 2010 Country Music Hall of Fame inductee died at his home, hall spokeswoman Tina Wright said. He had a history of heart problems and related ailments.

I grew up listening to him and all the others of that time. I love Wings of a Dove. It was also one of my dad’s favorites. RIP and prayers for his family and friends.

Saw him in concert in the mid-60’s.

I can’t remember it very well though. I think I was 7 at the time.
