watching “Mutual of Omaha’s Wild Kingdom”
“We are sending Jim Fowler into the Burger King....”
Too ironically funny
Nah this is a man video with the rest of the story..
"Come and see the violence inherent in the system. HELP! HELP! I'm being repressed!"
Great one!!! I get miles of Marlin Perkins and Jim jokes that us old guys remember, and laugh till we cry, over. I wonder, is poor old Jim (can’t remember his last name) still alive? Old Marlin tried to kill him hundreds of times. I think the insured that poor guy with Mutual Of Omaha for ^ billion dollars.
Dennis: (interrupting) Listen, strange women lyin’ in ponds distributin’ swords is no basis for a system of government! Supreme executive power derives from a
mandate from the masses, not from some farcicial aquatic ceremony!
Arthur: Be quiet!
Dennis: Oh but you can’t expect to wield supreme executive power just because some watery tart threw a sword at you!
Arthur: SHUT UP!
Dennis: Oh but if I went ‘round sayin’ I was Emperor, just because some moistened bink lobbed a scimitar at me, they’d put me away!
Arthur: SHUT UP! WILL YOU SHUT UP! [Grabs Dennis]
Dennis: Ah! Now we see the violence inherent in the system!
Stay away from the rabbit. Seriesly.
This could turn into a self sustaining thread on it’s own. We won’t have to serf.
How about a Marlin Perkins and Jim thread? “ Hold onto that bear Jim! He won’t bite too hard. Jim, get out of that tree!”
Love it! I’m gonna have to pop that in again, I haven’t seen it in a while.
Stay classy, PCB.
I live in Florida and do not go around looking for an excuse to shoot someone. Yes a coin laden jar could do serious injury but its quite easy to dodge.
The second to last thing I want is to shoot someone.
I was responding to a question about the statutes in Florida, nothing more. I don’t go around looking to shoot anyone either, don’t need the grief.
Well, the video sure shows some stuff that does fly in Florida.
Animalistic behavior comes naturally. Decent civilized behavior, manners, etc. are taught -forcefully- to those that are raised in a disciplined environment. No surprises here. Keep your powder dry.
Much more vivid account of story here......http://www.thesmokinggun.com/documents/florida/meet-panama-city-bk-brawler-653092
Wow. I did not know a mullet was defined as “man in the front, woman in the rear.”
Thanks. The comments made for very interesting reading as well.
From the SG article...
We tore the Burger King up, she remarked. I dont play no games.
Yea, I saw that. Reminds me alot of Dave Chappelle’s videos about When Keeping it Real Goes Wrong. Have you seen them?
I have not...
Darn those Tea Partiers.
I am going to make a harsh generalization based on my own experience and having witnessed this first-hand for most of my life.
I do not know where it started, but I believe it can be traced to the 60s, during which time most social conventions were challenged and largely overturned. Prior to that time, it was understood that behavior like that would not be tolerated by society at large; and it was not. However, it seems that the behavior you saw in that video became acceptable during that time as rejecting how "white" people expect "black" people to behave.
The behavior seems to be learned young and is reinforced by family, peers, celebrities, and a lack of really strong moral, ethical, and polite role models. That is how it was explained to me by a friend and fellow retired Army NCO, anyway. He'd never let his kids carry on like that; woe unto them if so.
As I said, this is a generalization based on my own experience. It does not apply only to melanin-enhanced persons, but that's who we saw in the video. Flame away. Call me what you like, but I believe my own eyes and years of experience. I do not believe there is any reason for any person, of any ethnicity or socio-economic background, to behave in public like the people in this video.
Kimesia Smith of Montgomery, Ala., jumped up on the counter and threw a charity coin jug at employees, and 3 of Smith's friends also began throwing napkins, utensils, and trays throughout the locationFour bullets would have solved all their problems.
She's way too skinny to be from Idaho.
Unemployed mother of three.
That says it all.
Freaknik Oh my, it was a happy day when they stopped coming to Atlanta. Traffic which has always been a nightmare was a gazillion times worse when they arrived.
Hadn’t thought about Freaknik in a long time.
It appears it is now illegal in Atlanta! LOL
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Freaknik was an annual spring break meeting in Atlanta, Georgia, primarily of students from historically black colleges and universities. Begun in 1982 as a small picnic near the Atlanta University Center, it was initially sponsored by the DC Metro Club and was typically held during the third weekend in April to coincide with the schools of the Atlanta University Center’s Reading Day. The event increased in size and popularity in the 1990s with dancing, drinking, parties, a basketball tournament, rap sessions, a film festival and a job fair.
In its heyday, the fest attracted upwards of 250,000 revelers to the city. However, Atlantans’ reception of the festival was mixed. Many residents had attended and enjoyed Freaknik since it was started. Otherwise, Freaknik went largely unnoticed by most of the city. The problems with Freaknik began in 1993, when the amount of people coming to Atlanta for the event suddenly doubled to more than 80,000 due in large part to the portrayal of Freaknik in Spike Lee’s 1988 film “School Daze” and the NBC-TV show “A Different World.” Many residents believe the City of Atlanta was caught off guard in 1993 by the increased number of people who came to the city for Freaknik. In some areas, the massive increase in cars on the road caused traffic to come to a halt, and the revelers got out of their cars and started roaming the streets. This in turn caused panic in some areas where people could not get home from their jobs, and they were trapped in areas where many revelers started harassing and yelling obscenities at non-black residents. There were also several reports of violence, looting, rapes and other sexual assaults. All this showed Freaknik in a negative light, and Atlanta residents demanded that the city get control of the event.
Things came to a head in 1994-96, after the event swelled to 250,000 people from around the country, and as the crowds grew larger, so did the problems. With tens of thousands of more cars on the city’s streets, many of Atlanta’s major thoroughfares became gridlocked, which frustrated the city’s residents further as they were prevented from shopping, going to sporting and social events, attending school functions, even funerals. Emergency services were severely hampered. Also, with the larger number of revelers in the city, reports of shootings, robberies, looting, public lewdness and rapes increased. Thus, many Atlanta residents filed lawsuits and business and community leaders pressured Mayor Bill Campbell to end Freaknik or severely crack down on the event. By 1996, the Atlanta police were out in large numbers, making it difficult for the revelers to party in the streets and engage in other illegal behavior. After city leaders took measures to curtail Freaknik’s accessibility, its popularity faded. As a result, Freaknik moved to Memorial Drive in DeKalb County, then to Daytona Beach, Florida. By 1999, celebration of the festival had died down due to heightened police security.
In April 2010, Atlanta officials said “there are no permitted Freaknik-related events inside the city limits.” Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed also said that “he will be tough and even sue organizers of any Freaknik-related activities who violate city guidelines”.
LOL, Taco Bell dodged a bullet there.
I totally agree. Wouldn’t see this in Japan ..of in the 50s either.
I totally agree. Wouldn’t see this in Japan ..or in the 50s either.
Now I know I don't want to see that in a bikini!
I was going to make a comment regarding the name “Kimesia”, but don't want to sound racist. Especially after hearing she only worried about her kids AFTER she was cuffed’
That tHING has kids? Why she partying in a bikini in
a Mc Donalds . What urban street garbage.
I’d like to Tame her Shrew!
It looks like she didn’t want and MF’n snakes at the MF’n Burger King. Or maybe that was her dad, on that plane.
Too tanned as well!
Really? See through? I didn't see that. Perhaps you stared just a little too deeply at the image?
Seems like Jim Rob and the Mods didn't share your opinion that the post ought to be removed...
I believe maybe you should take a long look in the mirror and think about what's looking back at you...
Oh, I don’t know, I saw one just the other day. I was amazed to be sure. I’m a locking the house now. But they can have the car...
I think I saw it, but didn’t care initially. I enjoyed the picture. It seemed a proper offset to the rope a dope photograpic affront that was initially posted.
But I went back and stared intently, and yep Owl_Eagle, what you posted is definitely see through. So I think OneVike is right, you should rectify this immediately by posting similar pictures that aren’t quite see through.
I guess in a world that goes from the extreme of Muslims requiring women to cover everything including their face, to the scantily clad African tribes portrayed in National Geographic that don’t even think of covering a woman’s top, I would rather err on the side that allows the beauty that God has made to be seen.
But I think there has to be a proper balance, and in this society it’s stopping just short of see through, so post those additional pictures as soon as you can.
Yeah...Jim’s still kickin. Just moved back to North Ga from his hometown of Albany,GA couple of years ago.
Yeah, she’s a cuddler, that one.
