Whoa. It’s horrific and strangely beautiful (when not seen with the destruction).

Everyone has a recurring nightmare from their childhood. This was mine.

Horrible website.

Pop up ads and the second photo would not load..

I block National Geographic channel on my Dish Network system.

Thank you for the post, however.

I have a popup blocker and I didn’t have any issues with the website.

Mine too. I spent a lot of time at Jones Beach on Long Island and remember being tossed around by some really big waves. To this day I have dreams of huge waves crashing on the beach.

From PA stopped at Jones Beach on the way to Captree LI to fish. How on earth did you see the water with so many people on the beach? Worst beach I have ever been on.

“... I have dreams of huge waves crashing on the beach”

I love swimming in the ocean yet I have those horrible huge wave dreams. Now I am wondering if those are common?

This was in the 60’s. The beaches weren’t packed and there are many beaches in the Jones Beach stretch.

"there are many beaches in the Jones Beach stretch"

I didn't know that.

Used to stay in some nice beach houses at the Outer Banks in he 60's. They are gone. Built too close to the ocean.

Yep, things change.

I have those same dreams all the time and I love the ocean too. They are very terrifying and I wake up feeling unsettled...

Funny. There are still plenty of nice beach houses there on the Outer Banks. They just didn’t start out as beachfront.

About 15 years ago we stayed at the one remaining house on the ocean side of the dunes. I doubt it lasted the winter after that.
