Camp Lejeune Marines To Libya To Strike At Qadhafi Forces

We've seen Camp Lejuene Marines in Iraq and Afghanistan and now they are joining the fight against Libya.

About 2,200 Marines from the 26th Marine Expeditionary Unit will take part in support operations based aboard USS Kearsarge at sea. Those support operations have thus far included air strikes and one rescue operation. The overall mission is to help end the violence directed at the Libyan people.

"The ability to launch these and other missions directly from naval vessels illustrates the unique and valuable capacity of the Navy/Marine Corps team called 'sea-basing'", said Captain Timothy Patrick, spokesman for II Marine Expeditionary Force. "Having these forces embarked aboard amphibious ships means that at any time we can execute a variety of tactical missions with little or no footprint on foreign territory."

Good old Obama (it depends on what the meaning of ‘is’ is). So much for the no boots on the ground pledge; He can fly them in for tactical missions on helicopters and fly out who ever survives but never have “based” any US troops in Libya.

Why are we attacking a nation that did not attack us?

Why are there not impeachment hearings this week?

Why is Obama going to the UN rather than the US Congress?

Why is the professional protesting left silent?

The Marines are going to be fighting alongside Al Qaeda...

Libya Islamists 'seize arms, take hostages' (This is how it all started--with an Al Qaeda attack)

Why is the professional protesting left silent?

An editorial in today's Wall Street Journal remarked that the left, which protested everything George W. Bush did, is much more political than principled. (Who knew?)

This action makes no sense. We are attacking a country because some people don’t like their leader?

Maybe he'll issue them basketball sneakers or golf shoes so that, technically, he would be telling the truth.

Press release (for what its worth):

Congressman Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) today wrote to President Obama that it was improper to commit the United States to a military intervention in Libya without prior Congressional approval, clear objectives and questioned the criteria used for intervention. Kucinich also informed President Obama of his intent to introduce a bipartisan amendment that would cut off all funds for the U.S.’s role in Libya to the next funding measure to be considered.

The letter was sent immediately upon the President’s return to the United States from a trip to South America that began after the President announced U.S. participation in military intervention in Libya without seeking prior Congressional approval for the use of military force as required by the Constitution.

Kucinich’s amendment to defund U.S. military intervention in Libya is cosponsored by Representatives Walter Jones (R-NC), Pete Stark (D-CA) and Ron Paul (R-TX).

Isn’t Obambi a work of art???? I hope he gave them lots of kinetics to defend themselves with. Plus . . . and this is an important plus . . . there will be no boots on the ground. Kinetically, this sounds ok to me!

Reminds me of Vietnam - the liberals started it, botched it, and because their presidents got us into it, most of them were strangely mum until Richard Nixon took office (remember Walter Mondale, who supported it down the line while LBJ was president, then turned up at an antiwar rally on the Washington Mall on the day Nixon was inaugurated?) I can see the same thing happening here - the California twins, Pelosi and Boxer, are strongly for it, imagine if it bogs down — what their position will be, especially if a Dem is no longer president. Just what we need - a third Middle East war.

We're putting ourselves in harms way....and we likely will get hit...and then we can say...they did it....and they have to pay.

The “One who is worshipped” and his worshippers didn’t need four years to destroy this nation. He did it in a little more than two. We now live under a one world government. That government, for now, is the U.N. We do what we’re told to do.

JMHO

Why?

Because this is a International Operation!

Why?

Because being this a Kinetic Operation there is no motive for impeachment!

Why?

Because it is UN that Rules US!

Why?

Because this is their´s agenda!

Then, so far so good!
