Anarchists 'plan to target royal wedding'

Scotland Yard officers are working urgently to identify the extremists who clashed with police and attacked landmarks on Saturday before they can strike again.

Commander Bob Broadhurst, the head of public order for the Metropolitan Police, warned that the anarchists would be "deliberately targeting" the wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton on April 29.

"The concern for me is that they do what they did yesterday in central London and divert resources away from my security plan and take our eye off the ball security wise," he said.

Ed Miliband, the Labour leader, was under fire last night for speaking at the TUC march, during which the violence occurred. Writing in The Daily Telegraph, Boris Johnson, the Mayor of London, said Mr Miliband would have been "quietly satisfied" by the chaos and claimed it was not surprising there was violence as Labour was failing to offer any alternative to the cuts.

The weekend's rally against the Government's austerity drive was marred by splinter groups who attacked officers and targeted shops and hotels. Mobs of masked anarchists pelted officers with sticks, paint bombs and fireworks loaded with coins.

London will soon be declared a "No Fly Zone". How many Tomahawk missles does Barack the Barbarian have left?

If the Anarchists are organized and making plans, are they really Anarchists?

Attacking the King and/or his Court has traditionally been an exceptionally bad idea, in terms of personal survival.

I watched one of the 3rd season episodes of The Tutors about three weeks ago on the internet.

Thomas Cromwell was particularly ticked off at some Catholics who had petitioned the king to get rid of him on the Privy Counsel.

When he finally got his hands on the leaders it was pretty horrifying to watch.

Matter of fact I wish I hadn't seen that particular segment. I had a hard time sleeping for several nights.

Not unless you can hear them fall in the woods.

Authority will do anything, anything, to remain in authority.

It's a human personality disorder.

It could be worse. It could be the Westboro Baptist Church.

Nasty people. Best wishes to William and Kate. They’ll have some fine security forces; we saw a show about the Royal Guards on PBS.

Hope they do better than they did with Charles and Camilla back in December. A better car would be a good start.

The stupid masked fools, along with their leaders, attacking the police and destroying/defacing public and private properties should be considered to be domestic terriorists and gunned down on the spot.

These people are doing much more than expressing their right to free speech. The wimpy PC people in government in the UK and the US that refuse to defend against them only add fuel to the fire. ....Why were the thugs who occupied the WI capitol building for a week or so, while causing millions of $$ in damage, allowed to do so; and then allowed to just walk away free???

You were responding to my post. Charles and Camilla weren’t at their wedding, or at any other event that had been designated a target in advance. And they probably didn’t have security with them as a Populist Statement, because they’re goofballs like that.

No. And neither were the original 'anarchists' of the late 19th early 20th centuries, either. They were Marxist in bent, even as these yahoos are...

youtube has all five seasons of The Tudors (they are in about 10 minute segments so it takes awhile to see one whole episode. The episode I was referring to was from Season 3, episode 3 (Dissension and Punishment)

Be warned it will do a number to your mind.
