With Donald Trump now investigating Obama's citizenship status he has brought more credible attention to the issue of the missing birth certificate.
However, he is asking the same questions, and approaching this as if Obama's family did things the "normal" way. Perhaps they did not.
But everone just assumes that Anne Dunham was married (to someone) and that she delivered her son, Barack, in a hospital somewhere in Hawaii.
So, Trump (and everyone previously) have been trying to find out just where and what hospital she was in. Has anyone ever thought: Maybe she didn't deliver in a hospital? Maybe she had the baby at home, thus that is why there are no hospital records?
Nor has anyone considered: Maybe she was not even pregnant. No pictures of her pregnant have ever surfaced. No one has spoken out and recollected her being pregnant. No friends or family have ever commented on her pregnancy...i.e. she looked great, tired, was sick, had a rough time, etc. Certainly most women have others who recall them being pregnant. Yet, not one family member or former neighbor has said anything that verifies there really was a pregnancy.
So...maybe Anne Dunham did not actually carry Barack H. Obama. Maybe she adopted him in some strange situation and brought him home or presented him to Obama Sr. as his son, (in order to trap the Obama, Sr. into a marriage?)and he was not. Maybe that is why he divorced hershortly after. And, just perhaps this is the real reason for the cover-up, or absence of any verifications.
After all, if Anne Dunham had a normal situation like most American women where she delivered a child in a hospital, there would have been post natal doctor's visits for months prior. There would possibly have been pictures of a baby shower. Someone during that 9 months ...a doctor, a nurse, a medical secretary, a neighbor...someone would have recalled her going to a doctor, getting pre-natal care, etc. Someone would have, by now at least, come forward with some memory of giving her baby presents. Yet, there has been no professional medical person, or anyone else who has been able to attest to caring for her, or even seeing her while pregnant.
The fact is...If she was truly pregnant, and she delivered (in private, in secret) at home...possibly because of family shame...there would be no hospital record of delivery.
But, then, didn't she ever take her newborn son to a pediatrician? Didn't some doctor have some role in determining the newborn child to be a healthy one? Where did this child receive attention after birth?
Just possibly: if Anne received a baby,later named Obama, from another woman, in some agreed way, then all of these questions about hospitals and birth certificate would not apply.
There certainly is no family resemblence between Barack Jr. and his white family. He surely does not look like Obama, Sr. So, perhaps the absence of a birth certificate in Hawaii, from a hospital, for Barack H. Obama, is because that was never issued for a child who was not born in a hospital there, or even carried by and delivered by Anne Dunham.
I ask Donald Trump to consider other possibilities than a hospital delivery. He can use his investigative resources to consider possibilities no one is bringing up. Doing the same research in the same places as others have done and questioned might be going down the wrong road.
There just MUST be another reason that the birth certificate has either been hidden or does not exist that bears the name of Barack H. Obama with Anne Dunham and Obama, Sr. shown as parents and certified by the authorized authority in Hawaii at that time.

This issue is a classic example. There is no reason that the GOP should not have had a team of steely-eyed ruthless opposition researchers working this claim ever since the Usurper became a threat, which was at least 2004 if you read tea leaves at all. Maybe they would have found the truth was innocuous--but it is criminally negligent that it had to wait for a heavyweight outsider like Trump to put some juice into the issue, after it languished only in the weak hands of well-meaning but inept amateurs for lo these seven years.
Proof in my estimation that we cannot trust any republican insiders to care enough about the Republic to ferret out the truth and let the chips fall where they may.

Let’s ask “George of the Jungle” (the one living in the hut) to give us the “truth” in exchange for a visa to enter the US and live on the public dime, and see if the story changes.
Has anybody researched homes for unwed girls? In that day, girls disappeared for several months to "visit auntie", so a lack of photos, friends, baby showers, or witnesses is not strange. Normally the baby would be adopted and there'd be nothing to see just move along gee it was nice visiting Aunt Sally, but this one slipped through the cracks. Now that's assuming that the mother is the person claimed, which is of course a big "if" with these lying characters.
Whatever the actual circumstances, I think the Dunhams fed Barry a bunch of lies about his parentage from day one. Zero would then spend his youth crafting a fantastic image of an alleged father he never knew, but then he discovered (as a teen) that it was all a big fat lie.
Now he's lashing back at white America for the job the Dunhams did of "robbing" him of his identity. He's probably even more angry that white America made him POTUS, because that means he actually has to be somebody. Barry can't ever choose the path of real achievement, because it would be an admission that it is possible and necessary to be a man who can make his own identity in life.
Barry prefers perpetual victimhood and hate because they come with ready-made excuses for being a corrupt, vile, lying sack o sh*t.

And your theory about Obama being fed a "story" by his family; finding out the truth later; and that being the cause of his underlying anger against whites and his narcissistic dysfunction - Agreed! I have been saying that for over two years.
The truth is not really obvious, of course, but whatever the truth is it has been hidden and Obama's psyche and outlook became twisted, his goals became self-focused, and his character became spiteful and vindictive. To find out as a teen or a grown man that your heritage is not what you were told, or that you were not wanted, or that your "family" was ashamed of your mother and you...well, that could be traumatic if not handled properly and with love and kindness from a supportive family. Evidently he did not have that. Evidently as he grew, he grew a chip on his shoulder that he never addressed or sought counseling to get over. It does not excuse his hatred, resentment and attitude, it just explains it. Many have had worse problems and come from far worse dysfunctional families and not be filled with hate.
There were many factors at play in what shaped the emotions and reactions of the man who ended up in our White House. Many people who saw his neediness and used his naivete, used him for their own goals and he still is not aware of that. Many hateful causes that erupted in our country appealed to a disturbed, angry young man during his growing up that fed his anger and hatred and gave him a feeling of having others validate his feelings. Along with his unquenchable desire to "be somebody" and gain recognition for something as you said.
The end result is that our country elected an incompetent, non-achiever who is an emotionally immature and frighteningly hateful person who just happened to be able to charm millions of unsuspecting, desperate people with his ability to sell. Obama is like an Elmer Gantry type character who has to have constant adoration, cannot handle criticism, and who is basically week and self pitying under that aura of arrogance.
