Beck Reveals Presidential 'Dream Team': West, Bachmann, Paul and...Beck?
The Blaze ^ | April 11, 2011 | Jonathon Seidl

Posted on 04/11/2011 12:05:34 PM PDT by Falcon28

Is Glenn Beck getting ready to run for president? That was at least the joke on radio today.

While on the road this morning, Beck took some time to reveal who would be on his presidential “dream team” ticket come 2012. Sure, he’s revealed his love for Michele Bachmann before — who made his list — but today he revealed who he thought would best serve the country as president: Rep. Allen West.

Beck‘s picks came after a discussion about Donald Trump’s chances at becoming the GOP nominee and then president. According to Beck, they’re not good. After talking about Rick Santorum’s qualifications (who Beck likes and respects) he revealed his “dream team:” West as president, Bachmann as vice president, and (mentioned in the second clip) Ron Paul as treasury secretary. Listen to him defend his picks below:

Bonus clip

Alert: Glenn Beck considers running for president

Ok, not so much. But that may be the headline you could see after people heard what else Beck had to say on radio today. Basically, he speculated about his own presidential plans. He pointed out that considering the events of late (i.e. him transitioning from his daily Fox show) and Sarah Palin’s refusal to not name him as a running mate (said very facetiously), could it be that he is looking to throw his hat in the ring?

I can’t find anything wrong with his picks other than I would put Bachmann at the top of the ticket.

Beck would not run for President, but his picks are far better then the Marxist fake in the WH right now.

The problem with Allen West is Obama.

Obama, has single handedly set race relations back 50 years as was his intention. He had an unprecidented opportunity to bring Americans together like never before. But being the good communist, Marxist, black liberation theology RACIST that he is; who and what he is in his heart of hearts could not permit him to act in the best interest of America or unity. Instead, he has poisoned the well.

It will be many, many years before another "black man" (Allen West included) from either party running for president is elected by the American people no matter how good he may appear or what ever he may say because Obamessiah has so badly burned the American voting public, especially whites.

I do like the campaign slogan he coined for himself a few years back.

“Vote Beck, Because we can always make more missiles”.

I am also a strong supporter of Col. West.

Can you imagine the puckering that would happen in Riyadh, Tehran, Moscow, Beijing and Seoul were we to name him as CIC??

He should have won a medal for that action, rather than an Article 15.

West isn’t ready yet he has stated. But I sure like him...as I do that same steadfastness of Trump, even though I question if he’s really in it for the Presidency.

I sometimes wonder if these guys speaking up so loud and clear aren’t trying to wake up those who are going to run. ...becuase they had better put up more a fight then we have seen so far.

But no...not Beck...he’s far too unstable.

LOL, my 80 year old Mom wants Glenn sitting at her kitchen table. She adores him. She would smack anyone who disses him.

Glenn is a good guy and I appreciate the work he has done to wake people up. He takes a lot of abuse, most of it unwarranted.

If I had the power to pick one person to be the next POTUS, it would either be Pence or West-and this is coming from someone who worships Palin.

However, you are absolutely right that Obama has made it much more difficult for another "black man" to get elected.

Oh I’m not so sure about that, though possible. West has certainly come across as someone who is unafraid of the odds. And the few blacks I am familiar with are very much in his favor over obama. You’re thought on this could very well work just the opposite....if the blacks got one balck man in, as they have claimed, they can certainly go for the gold and get West in Washington to be sure in the administration...and he would do us well there I think.

WHOEVER the TpCaucus "picks" generally to support WILL BE the republican candidate..
The TPC has not "picked" anyone yet.. thru TPC polls..
2010 was practice for 2012.. The TpCaucus is the 900 lb. Gorilla..

i.e. Sarah Palin.. hasn't "really" started lobbying YET!.. as speaker at the TParties..
And probably won't either until fall.. which would be brilliant tactics..

That may be true in general, but if he's running against Obama we will have another black president. My hope that it would be Col West.

I disagree. I don't think most Americans care about skin pigmentation. The 2008 election was about "making history." The 2012 election will be about the economy and policies. Allen West, regardless of skin pigmentation, is the antithesis of Obama in every way. He would destroy Obama in a debate on any subject and he would beat Obama in a general election...no doubt about it.

I like Glenn generally, he’s a good infotainment show.

That said, I would rather him not to run for president and stick to what he does best. Inform people. Proselytize about his own beliefs. He’s got 3-4 hours a day to influence people. It’s a huge life change and the guy is used to having the ability to be on tv and radio all the time.

In terms of candidates I do not care about skin color at all. I just want conservatives, and biblical conservatives particularly, to be in power, that understand limited government and the constitution.

I do care about skin color when I am in certain parts of town. Common sense demands it.

The media would attack Col. West for lack of poltical experience, just like they did to a sitting governor...Sarah Palin. The beauty of Trump/Cain is they can just say .....we are not politicians, we are business men....very successful ones at that....

We don’t elect House members to the White House. It has only happened once in a freak 4-way race. We elect governors, vice-presidents, generals and senators, pretty much in that order. As for Mr. Beck, we have never elected someone with no government experience. Ever.

I don’t think Beck wants or would be a good politician, but he is good at what he does. He is better on TV than radio.

I sure know my mother was very upset hearing his show was going to end. LOL

Glenn is treated pretty bad on this site by many, and he isn’t even a politician. He could never win a national election.

Sorry, Amigo.

The Rug isn’t even in the hunt as far as I am concerned. First off, he supported Present Stroker in 2008. Secondly, he was creaming his jeans when Pelosi took over the House Speaker position.

Those two items alone make him a “no go” in my book.

The Rug on his noggin is also a deal breaker.

He almost makes Juan McLame or Lindsey “Goober” Grahamnesty look good. And those two dogs won’t hunt.

Frankly, I don’t think any of this matters a rats patutie. James Baker said it this Sunday; the U.S. is the United States of Greece; it’s broke, it’s bankrupt, it’s really bankrupt and that problem trumps all others. The debt to equity ratio is over 1.0; the debt bomb is the single greatest threat this country faces.

Good grief, Beck is truly crazy.

How is a 6 month congresscritter going to win a nomination? Congresscritters never win the nomination of their party, and until the system changes they never will.

I love West, he's great, but first he needs to move up from congresscritter. If he does that, he will be in the hunt for president someday, just not now.

The overwhelming majority of blacks in this country will NEVER, ever vote for Mr. West, no matter how "black" he is because they are leftists and liberals and reverse racists at heart and they think America and white Americans OWE them and they will view Mr. West, portray and paint him just like they did Justice Thomas:

Adam West is an "Uncle Tom" and he is in the pocket of the WHITE MAN.

Is Mr. West a good and honorable man who cares about the Constitution and what is best for America? Probably, but those qualities are the antithisis of what the overwhelming majority of blacks are looking for in a presidential candidate. They want a liberal who will "take care of MY PEOPLE" like they THINK they have in Obamessiah and Holder.

If you think Mr. West will even get 10-15% of the black vote you are delusional. 95% of the blacks think Obama is doing a great job and will vote for him again because it is NOT the content of ones character but the COLOR of their skin that holds sway with them. This is clearly born out by numerous polls.

Of course they will - they're the media. But, I'll take West's 22-year military career over a community organizer, and I think most Americans will as well. Three debates between Obama and West would show the American people who has the experience and wisdom to lead the country.
