Is Bill Cosby a racist?

Posted on 04/12/2011 7:59:28 PM PDT by LouAvul

In my opinion, anybody who voted for obummer is a racist because race is the absolute only reason anybody could vote for this piece of garbage.

But is that the only reason to dislike cosby?

In other words, what other evidence is there that cosby dislikes white people?

Hard to say... any given Democrat will always get at least 90% of the black vote, regardless of race.

As much as I want, and believe Obama deserves to go down; this is going to be nasty in the race department.

If comments like this can’t be distinguished between Bill Cosby or Louis Farrakhan, this will be u g l y.

Everyone is pulling out the race cards. Absolute freakin’ bs, people are insane on the Left.

Screw you Bill!

I don’t think Cosby dislikes white people or any other people for that matter. I know he is highly critical of race-baiters and black kids who are wasting their lives doing stupid things - and I agree with him.

To be fair, there are tons of reasons to vote for Obama: greed, laziness, ignorance, envy.

Cosby is a racist. He used to give speeches on how the black communities speaking in Ebonics and wearing ghetto clothes would keep them on welfare. That is pretty damn racist in my book.

Sad....very sad.

Bill Cosby has been embraced, loved and monetarily supported in luxury by horrible, racist, white people since the beginning of his career.

And he spits in the face of Martin Luther King, and votes for the color of someone’s skin.

I hope his spawn experience the “new slavery”.

Inheritance tax, anyone? Loss of mortgage deductions? Loss of 401k plans?

Let Cosby’s heirs, who owe his “white” audience everything, experience the stupidity of racist voting practices by “their own people”....(isn’t that how Holder put it?)

I used to service a lot of equipment at Kodak back in the days when Bill Cosby was their spokesman. I was in Kodak Park often enough to become familiar with some of the guards. More than one told me that part of BC’s exit was that he wouldn’t allow white people on the set while they were filming.

Bill Cosby gets a lot of slack from me, and it is well earned over a lifetime. He was a pioneer in early television, where Americans saw in him a black face in roles they had never played before. And for being a pioneer, he got a lot of arrows in the back from racist whites. He fought back not with hate, but by becoming wildly successful.

He is not anti-white, but when he was most powerful in Hollywood he was very affirmative action oriented. He saw first hand the lack of opportunities given to black people, and so when he had become powerful enought to call the shots, he put black people in every role he could, in front of the camera and behind. In the late 80's if you were black in Hollywood, your career path eventually went through Cosby.

And although he gave preference to blacks, he demanded absolute excellence from everyone he hired, probably more so than whites. He gave them the chance, but they had to perform. Many, many in Hollywood owe their careers to him.

So does that make him racist? In my view, absolutely not. He responded to the racism coming from whites and turned it into a positive thing. And when you listen to him these days when he sounds bitter towards blacks, you have to look a things from his perspective. He took a lot of arrows so that the next generation would not have to, demanded excellence in everything they did, and was confident that that would overcome everything. What he didn't see was that many blacks would turn away from that and embrace the new thug culture and rap, almost confirming the worst of earlier white stereotypes about blacks.

Here in 2011, relations are far better between blacks and whites than when he was starting out, both in Hollywood and out in America from people who grew up watching him, and he can claim his own part of making that happen.

Cosby took down a big reward when he figured out the Tywanna Brawley show was a hoax, but he still supports Al Sharpton. Hard to figure.

He has not been the same, in my opinion, since his son was murdered by a white immigrant from Russia. That was a horrendous loss for he and his wife.

Right away his wife came out swinging the race bat at white Americans. She claimed that Russia had no racism so the murderer had learned his racism in the US. It was a very twisted race rage thing.

Cos is getting cranky as he ages. I still love his old self, though. He was a good man and had a good influence on America. The far Left’s heavy duty black racists, who had way too much influence back then, hated him. Today we call them Holder’s “people.”

I was working at a casino in Tahoe back in '64 when Cosby came across the street from Harrahs to our club. When he came through the door on a busy Friday night he quipped to his entourage "Jesus! There ain't nothin but white people here!

He turned around and left...

Did you forget when he joined forces with the two biggest race-baiters in the world (Sharpton & Jesse Jackson) over the Tawana Brawley incident?

Bill Cosby has been speaking against the 'gangsta mindset' for years. He puts the blame for all the 'gangsta, gangbanger, Ebonics' culture at the feet of the Black community.

In a word yes.

Unfortunately, you are correct. Bill Cosby pretends to not be a racist, but just like Colin Powell, it's not apparent most of the time. But when a black man runs for president, the race of the person assumes priority over all other factors and previously held ideals. This indeed makes them racists.

Isolated incidents don’t prove squat. Sometimes future Presidents cut down cherry trees. Are you perfect, panaxanax?

He could also talk about white communities speaking in Ebonics, and wearing ghetto clothes. Or Asian communities speaking in Ebonics and wearing ghetto clothes. My point is he is not talking about the color of their skin he is talking about how they are wasting their life.
