HSLDA ^
Posted on 04/13/2011 6:23:32 AM PDT by Sopater
HSLDA is conducting a survey on the impact of homeschooling on politics at the state level. We are seeking information regarding the number of state legislators who are homeschooled. Ultimately wed like to send them a short survey. First we have to find them. If you know a state legislator, please take 10 seconds to click the link below and provide just four pieces of information to help us take the next step. Thank you for your help! Fill out the survey >>
TOPICS: Education; Miscellaneous
KEYWORDS: education; frhf; government; homeschool; legislators
I figured that FReepers were the best people to ask to find homeschooled legislators!
There are just four questions.

You mean currently-alive ones?
Because there were lots of them in the Colonial and post-Colonial eras...

The article you cited says, "
Of course, the big knock on homeschool students is that they never develop social skills since their classrooms are often their kitchen tables and their mothers are often their teachers. In the article, there's no support for that statement. Isn't that strange? < /sarc>

Read about Iowa's own Brenna Findley. She was homeschooled, went to Drake and then to Chicago Law School and actually talked to Obama while there.
She has been Chief of Staff for Congressman Steve King, was a candidate for AG of Iowa and now is counsel to Gov. Branstad.
This is one hugely capable woman and extremely impressive. http://us.ixquick.com/do/metasearch.pl
