I totally agree with ya. Turn off Tune out Drop out. After the debacle we see unfolding why not? It is no fun backing a bunch of loser turncoats.

It is now April of the year before the election.

Bill Clinton did not announce his winning candidacy until October before the election.

Right now, all the media has to create headlines and sell advertising is stories about the retreads from past elections.

The ultimate winner in November 2012 may not even yet be on the radar screen and his "Unfavorable" poll ratings will have to be lower than Obama's.

To: Scythian ..... You forgot to mention that there will probably be another “Purge”, probably Trump supporters, because he is mostly taking support away from Palin.

This should not be about Trump.

This should not be about Palin.

This should be about ensuring that Barack Hussein Obama is NOT reelected in a cakewalk and giving the Republican nomination to a candidate that over 70% of ALL voters believe would NOT be a good President absolutely guarantees exactly that.

FOX News Poll (February 7-9, 2011)

Question 3: I am going to read you a list of names. Tell me if you think that person would make a good President or not.

Sarah Palin:

...............YES.........NO.......DK.....Never heard of

All .............23%.......72%.......4%.......1%

Dem ............7%.......87%........5%.......1%

Rep ...........40%.......56%.......3%.......1%

Ind ...........25%........69%.......3%.......1%

********

Donald Trump:

...............YES.........NO.......DK.....Never heard of

All .............19%.......75%.......4%.......4%

Dem ...........16%.......76%.......5%.......3%

Rep ............23%.......71%.......5%.......1%

Ind ...........11%..... ..82%.......3%.......0%

So let’s vote for a progressive like a McCain or a Bush because the ONLY goal we have to remove Obama...

LOL.

I say we finally vote on true conservative principles and actually be bold enough to stand for something FINALLY regardless of whom and what party including independent.

You might be happy with the single focused goal of stopping Obama from getting elected...I will vote for only those that actually will do something to fix the economy.

Why all the doom and gloom? Look at the states....Wisconsin, for one. Union bussed in people, put out a lot of dough; lots of media on their side, and they lost a critical election to the Supreme Court anyway.

Those who don’t stay and fight don’t deserve to whine after the fact.

God is on our side, but we have to have faith and be His warriors on the ground.

I don’t really follow the Palin threads (I like her though), but if it’s anything like the Rudy threads from ‘08, it was usually people viciously attacking anyone who disagreed with Rudy and slandering the name of conservatives, like Reagan. Then, when they got banned, they and their shallow friends took up the weeping, “poor me” martyr cause, claiming the discourse has gotten too angry and hateful; and that JimRob was a big meanie.

I suspect the Palin threads will probably be similar, except the other way around.

I posted this under general/chat category "wierd stuff" where it belongs ...

I've been on here since 1998, in these past 12 years I've changed alot. I became deathly ill only to make myself better through natural means. I even had 3 children since 1998 as well.

When I first joined I had just had my eyes opened to Christianity and to the real Christ, having previously voted for Clinton in 92 I realized I was very wrong in my thoughts and started voting Republican. But now, 12 years later I have learned even more, enough to know to stop investing time in this arena.

We have our pinewood derby car race this weekend for scouting, our cars are fast, should be a good race. To be honest, I really don't care about politics anymore. Jesus didn't waste his time on it and niether will I. Not saying I wont vote, I will.

Anyway, the FR has been great fun, and daily I actually laughed out loud reading the quips from posters, very witty stuff. I just wanted to say thank you to the FR for 12 years.

This part of my life is being closed down so that I can spend this time on other things.

- Scythian out

PS: That means you can rip me to shreds now in proper FR style, LOL, you guys are awesome and Good Luck ...

Welcome back again, and again, and again...!

LOL First people on FR thought Clinton would declare Martial Law and refuse to leave.

Then the libs thought the same about Bush.

A third party may indeed be “appropriate”... but it still guarantees an Obama win. A GOP nomination of Trump, OTOH, will push a lot of GOPers to third parties.

Aside from generating a lot of noise, Trump`s presence is a net negative for those who don`t want four more years of Obama.
