Massive storm ran through. Tornado confirmed (I believe) at Lambert INternational Airport. Other places around the area are reporting tornadoes and storm damage.

Doc, I just got home from working my second job at Lowe's where we had to herd all the employees and customer's to the back of the store twice tonight. I have been up since 4am, I am tired and my first thought was to check on my fellow area freepers.

Please accept my apologies that I was not as coherent as you wanted.

Everything’s okay in my neck of St. Chuck... :-)

Had a couple of times the lights blinked and heard some loud thunks (hail, I suppose — the entire SGAG family was in the basement). But no major damage as far as I know.

Not really much of a Good Friday, though.

This is what?! The third time in a week we have had some nastiness come through. And now they are telling us that we will get anywhere from 6 to 9 inches of rain between today and next Wednesday?

I hope you don't live near a river or creek!

I’m okay...thankfully, I live on high ground for the inevitable floods that will come after the projected 9” of rain over the next three days.

Just talked to a friend there that says says they are surrounded by lightening and thunder still and he’s preparing to duck if need be!

I am in West St. Louis County, long track tornado went through majorly populated areas. Lambert Airpot received extensive damage with glass shattering and cutting travelers. Roof on Concourse C blown off. Major stretch of highway 270 closed due to power lines. Its night so full details won’t be known until tomorrow.

Gotcha, palinsupporter1. I am watching Ch. 5 right now. Damn! Its worse than I thought. In the morning I will have to check and see if any of my friends need any help.

And down south they are still getting hammered.

BTW, maybe we should wear a secret pin or something in case we see each other in Dierberg's and we can do the secret handshake. :-}

Yeah, it’s been crazy the last few weeks. My neighborhood is surrounded by a creek but there’s a good-sized runoff basin.

I saw posted somewhere that DHS was putting out bids for MREs in case of a New Madrid fault quake. They may need them sooner than that if this keeps up!
