President Rubio.

The more I think about it, the more sense it makes.

We’re you born after 1986? If not you are not considered an NBC. Period.

Cain/West would destroy the opposition of any other combination in the primaries. Obambi would have a snowball's chance in hell.

I don't think it would even be close. Tea Party on steroids; and finally two candidates that would put a sock in the NAACP, Black Panthers, Nation of Islam, Jesse Jackson, Al Sharpton, and Chuck Range, while offering a new and needed voice to the black Americans as well as conservatism itself.

Rubio has no chance on the immigration issue. Period.

Finally someone on the thread asks the right question.

And here IMNSHO, is the answer.

Rubio is not a Natural Born Citizen.
At the time of his birth, neither of his parents were citizens.
Jindal is not a Natural Born Citizen
At the time of his birth, both of his parents were not citizens.

Just because an ineligible POTUS was selected by the Electoral college and the voters, does not mean the Constitution is no longer in force. Obama, who is not a Natural Born citizen, because one of his parents was not a US Citizen, cannot be used as a precedent for another ineligible candidate.

BTW, if you disagree with me, great! But let's not talk about it anymore, since it makes me ill. Let's get the black-robed SOBs of the SCOTUS to give us their opinion on the matter before the shooting starts. Win, lose or draw, I'll accept it.

Also BTW, since neither Rubio nor Jindal seems interested in candidly admitting the facts of their birth, I am not interested in discussing them as presidential candidates. I cheerfully admit that both of whom can occasionally at least, seem otherwise splendid fellows,

BTW, freekitty, Natural Born Citizenship does not require that one's parents be born here! The parents can be born anywhere; India, Kenya, Cuba, etc. The parents must just be naturalized citizens at the time of the candidate's birth. Not after!

Pretty darned generous, I'd say.

I would consider a Trump/Cain pairing. I would have to know more about Trump’s positions. Cain really interests me and I would like to hear more about his positions. I agree than Col. West/Cain pairing would be awesome. Both have loads of executive experience and would be highly capable. They could get politicians to help charter the nasty trails in DC. In fact, I like this pairing best of all. Col. West would not take any crap! Grey Eagle

I'm not a fan of Rubio, and have only seen passing references to his parents being born in Cuba, and perhaps not being US citizens at the time of his birth.

Is that true?

I will support any candidate that wins the Republican primaries. If those primaries are of the "open" variety, I think Karl Rove should be hunted down like a mad dog. I also might call in the hunters if the RINOs try anything I don't really like, e.g., doing convention deals in the dark of night.

West already has far more experience than this illegitimate fool now illegally in the WH. I don't know a damn thing about Cain, although I did see him artfully dodge the eligibility issue.

I think I will support any candidate who says, "If I win the primary, I will bring suit on the eligibility issue, because as a viable candidate I have standing."

In general, the GOP has shown one and all the ultimate theoretical weakness. of a Two-Party System in which the Center-Left of the GOP merges imperceptibly with the Center Right of the Democrats to share power and make deals. The major difference between the two parties: The Far Left, Radical, Socialist, Marxist, SOBs who drive the Democrat Party actually have an ideological agenda combined with party discipline that guides their center. The Far Right, the Constitutionalists, the Small Government, States Rights elements still within the GOP have no such power.

Another major difference between the two parties is that Far Left, Radical Marxist, Socialist SOBs who drive the ideological agenda of the Democrat Party actually get themselves elected to the House, to the Senate, and even to the White House, where they can follow-through. OTOH, the GOP elects ONLY centrists, with but a handful of notable exceptions.

Result: unless Conservatives can have some greater effect on the GOP, or we can develop a more politically mature multi-party system, the New America is going to look a lot like the Olde Europe, sans the charm. The Mombasa MF and his team have moved us 50 years down that road in 24 months, with negligible opposition.

Thus spaketh Forgotten Amendments who also slammed William F. Buckley for not being a real conservative.

Thanks for paying attention! ;)

Seriously, the guy is more hawkish on Libya than McCain / Graham / Obama. Is THAT what you want?

The conservative movement has been destroyed by us marching in lockstep behind GOP hacks. I hear all these great things about Rubio and am suitably impressed. But, he wants us to go whole-hog into Libya. That's idiotic. I don't think he's given two thoughts to Libya. He wants power, and appearing hawkish will appeal to the GOP power brokers, neocons, and talk radio.

I think he's a lightweight.
