Superman Renounces US Citizenship...
Comics Alliance ^ | April 27, 2011 | Laura Hudson

...Superman announces that he is going to give up his U.S. citizenship. Despite very literally being an alien immigrant, Superman has long been seen as a patriotic symbol of "truth, justice, and the American way," from his embrace of traditional American ideals to the iconic red and blue of his costume. What it means to stand for the "American way" is an increasingly complicated thing, however, both in the real world and in superhero comics, whose storylines have increasingly seemed to mirror current events and deal with moral and political complexities rather than simple black and white morality.

The UN’s motto is Untruth, Injustice, and the Anti-American way.

I believe this is the Bizarro Superman’s motto.

Superman never was a U.S. citizen in the first place. He was born on another planet and his parents were aliens. Besides, he has no birth certificate.

Then all Americans should renounce the entire Superman franchise, including movies, books, comics, and promotional merchandise.

He doesn't want to be an American, and wants to bow to foreign dictators like obama, then to hell with the whole genre.

Why not, we've got one as President apparently.

haha that made me laugh pretty hard. I did post this article though because, to me, they are bastardizing a character that once represented the values of Americans in the 50’s and 60’s . Now the progressives are bringing their message through the people that read these stories still. Its a true abomination in my mind.

Superman first appeared in 1938. Assuming he was in his 20s back then that means he is in his 90s today. A this age he’s probably suffering either dementia or senility. So cut an old codger some slack. If he were in his right mind he would not be babbling nonsense.
