It's important for three reasons that I can name off the top of my head:
1. It gives some measure of closure to the families and friends of the victims of the 9/11 attacks.
2. It deprives Al Q'aida of a leader who had still been capable of planning further attacks.
3. It causes the Islamofascists to lose face. That is a very important element in their culture, as we've witnessed with their honor killings.

To credit the POTUS for some succesful action of the military is not only foolish, but it smacks personality cult.
Osama Bin Laden, the Saudi-born terror boss who plotted and funded the 9/11 attacks nearly a decade ago, has been killed and his body is in the hands the U.S. military, President Obama was set to announce Sunday night.
What to do with the martyr’s body? I wish Americans were not chanting in the streets but flocking to churches to pray.
Wonder how this will effect a phase-out? The war is over, right?

Like I just told someone in a PM, I was in the infantry when the towers went down man. OBL changed my GD life. I’m gonna drink and celebrate his death tonight and I am happy to celebrate it with my fellow freepers.
The muslims now have mother-tender of all Martyrs..
I want to meet the man who pulled the trigger!!!
