2012 Electionm is Cemented for Obama (4 more years is a done deal)
Free Republic ^ | 5-1-11 | wac3rd

One of the most hated men in history has been killed by our troops by a Commander-in-Chief who has done everything in his power to demean, de-fund, impose demeaning homosexuality and restrict the ability of our troops to fight terror, including pursuing civilian trials for captured would-be terrorists.

Let's be fair here, the average American hasn't a clue what century the French & Indian War was fought in and probably cannot tell you who who Joe Biden is, so the mainstream media will run with this for all its worth. The Media will give 100% credit to Obama and mark my words, the RINOs will kow-tow even more and the Dems will be emboldened.

The moronic college kids and their Commie professors will forget all their anti-American, pro-terror rhetoric just enough for Novermber 2012 to come around. The media is fully invested in Obama and cheered and lied for him even when to most Americans he was failing. This single act is their inverted Pearl Harbor, they will fly the "Obama killed Osama when Bush Couldn't" forever.

This moniker will follow Obama forever, like how Watergate will always be tagged to Richard Nixon and how Bush I will be credited with toppling the Iraqis in 1991.

This will be forever spun by journalists and a crowning moment, a reason that Obama is tough and another way to let him have his way with the economy, jobs, climate change, unions, Libya, nuclear power, Obama Care, homosexual marriage, gun confiscation, tax hikes, gas prices, educational failure, amnesty...the butter will be softened forever for Obama, he will not need a steak knife, merely a butter knife to get things done. Look for the EPA, FDA, FCC and every other attack dog regulatory agency to become hyper-aggressive in the coming months and years.

Bush got Saddam Hussein too. I don’t think this changes anything. I think we should celebrate OBL’s death and worry about 2012 later. It makes us look petty to deny his victory and makes them look petty if they exploit it. This was a victory for America, for the victims of 9-11. and for the soldiers, sailors, marines, and airmen, who have suffered and even died because of OBL. We should all just celebrate it tonight. That’s just my opinion and I am taking my own advice.

I AGREE with you..this does not seal it for 0bama in 2012...it was no shoe in for Bush the first after the first gulf war...
And the domestic issues etc will bubble up after a few days when this cools off the front page. And now I would bet we will see some actions by the sleeper cells around the world that have been encouraged to act on their own. And a hightened travel alert has been issued for all Americans travelling world wide so we can expect to see enhanced TSA actions at airports but large malls and train stations etc where ever there are large gatherings there could be trouble so folks need to be aware..according to the state dept just now.

If this was July 2012...I would be inclined to agree with you. However, as some of my FRiends have said: People have short memories. Now...don't get me wrong...he will beat this like a drum...but if this economy double dips...he's toast.

Now...with the death of OBL...we now at least know why we were placed on FPCON Bravo...

The end of America as we know it has come, the collapse is imminent and you should prepare now for the coming insurrection.

Not a chance. Obama’s chickens have come home to roost.

I’d bet my life that the long legged Mac Daddy and his big dyke of a wife were high-fiving when 9/11 happened.

Obama was probably teaching Michelle how to ululate.

You are a FReeper, like myself, who works in the private sector or law enforcement/military who is most likely male, with a family and is either Christian or Jewish.

I understand that dollars do not fall off of trees unless you have a rich uncle who dies and leaves you a lot of cash; you work in the mailroom of Microsoft or Google and in the 1990s or you hit six numbers on PowerBall.

The American public craves a hero, even an anti-hero to be larger than life, that’s why the Lefty Media could never slam Reagan, he was a folk hero, in some ways.

We see all the bad stuff, the foreclosures, the near 20% real unemployment, the deficit at $14T, the regulations and growing power of unchecked Socialist government, the illegal invasion, the Muslim push across the globe...

We need a hero, this gives “hope” to all the people who were still second guessing their Obama vote in 2008.

The cement is drying.

With the attnetion span of most the USA, I bet this euphoria only lasts a week assuming there are no huge incidents from Al quaeda... If so, it is only a couple of days.

Bullsqueeze.

People will vote their pocketbooks, and the [rice of gas ain’t gonna get better soon, the price of food is going up, unemployment is still in the crapper - The 0ne will go down.

Had this happened in Late October 2012, I might think it could do something for The 0ne’s re-election chances.

Winston Churchill lost his re-election bid as Prime Minister in July, 1945, a mere two months after leading his nation to victory in a far more momentous conflict than anything Obama ever will encounter.

In comparison to Churchill, Obama is a stunted historical pygmy. The way the economy is going, in eighteen months, it quite possible that nobody will remember that Obama had anything to do with the demise of Osama bin Ladin.

B. Hussein Obama is quite likely to find out that being President is the ultimate "what have you done for me lately" occupation.

And it couldn't happen to a more deserving fellow.

Oh please. Stow the drama queen horse s#!t. George Bush the elder had a 91% approval rating after the smashing victory in the first Gulf War, and got clobbered by Clinton.

Tonight’s not a night for politics. Let’s drink a toast for everyone involved, from the CINC to the SEAL who put a bullet between bin Ladin’s eyes, and then wake up tomorrow more determined than ever to save our precious jewel of a country from all its enemies.

Meh. Bush I had a 90% approval rating and still lost. You may be right, of course, but we'll see how much of a bump he gets from this.

Amen to that. I agree!

This is a MAJOR accomplishment for the USA. Many Americans do not know that before Bin Laden was pegged a terrorist he was most known as a "mysterious" man... almost God like by the people in the Middle-East because of his ability to disappear, hide and always avoid capture. Today America took that away from him. :)

Before we go there, let this natural moment of celebration run its due course and salute the US military victory. President Bush set in motion a significant global response to the 9/11 attack, and it has reached a heroic point this week with a bull’s eye attack delivered by the US Navy Seals. Congratulations America.

Obama’s weaknesses are very clear now. America knows this president drinks a different kind of water.

“Thank G*d this didn’t happen a week before the election the campaign hasn’t even started. 0bama has to run on $5 gallon gas, rampant unemployment and inflation.”

Or even a month or even a year before. But it does mean that the GOP better get its act together NOW.

The Pakis gave Bin Ladin to Obozo and in exchange Obozo gave the Muzzies a green light to attack Israel , which , very possibly , wil be the beginning of the world war to which you are referring . The US will be attacked from within quickly followed my martial law . Election postponed ...indefinitely .
