It’s been a “long time gone” since those “Babylon sisters” left me “Out on the weekend”, “Searching for a heart of gold”

“Where have all the good times gone” is from a Van Halen song. Back when they were really good.

“long time gone” – CSN

“Out on the weekend”, “Searching for a heart of gold” – Neil Young

“One Bourbon, one Scotch, one Beer” – not sure who did it originally, but the Blues Brothers did a cover

“Wild world” – Yusef Islam (or whatever) aka Cat Stevens

“Me and Bobby Mcgee” – my Pearl, Janis Joplin

“Turn the page” – Bob Seeger

“Changes” - David Bowie

“Landslide” – Fleetwood Mac

“One way or another” - Blondie

“like a rolling stone” – Jimi Hendrix

“Black magic” – well, Black Magic Woman would be Santana, not sure

“Run like hell”, “Learn to fly” – Pink Floyd

“I drink alone” – George Thorogood and the Delaware Destroyers

“The End” , “break on through” – The Lizard King, Jim Morrison and The Doors

“Losing my Religion” – REM

“Video killed the radio star” – can’t remember the band, first song ever played on MTV

“Take it to the limit” - Eagles

“American pie” – Don Mclean

“Solsbury Hill” – Genesis (actually I think it is Salisbury Hill)

“Hard to handle” – Black Crowes

“Imagination” – Probably John Lennon

“Wonderful” – I know that can’t be Pops, Louis Armstrong

“Tears in heaven” - Clapton

Did I win?

I agree with your tagline:). the band that did video killed the radio star was called The Buggles. I remember the lead singer wearing huge glasses that made him look like a bug.

That’s it, the Buggles. I didn’t want to google any of that, I just fired from the hip.

I think I saw it on Wiki, and people at work tell me that was the very first video on MTV. I thought it was Pat Benatar but they keep telling me Buggles.

That’s a great Trivial Pursuit question.
